well it looked ea y ,so it only took 2 two days.because i wanted to move the crank shaft also ,but the counter weight really make it run allot smoother and will i think will use less battery. not sure if other people are doing this on their dry washers

Now while tacking advantage of the S.West's warm / dry weather for the dry washer's air supply line (IF your using a blower style D.W.er) , try using 4 inch black line from a blower source to your D.W.er for some warm hot air to help create static in the D.W.er to help save that fine gold particles. I did this to mine and was pleased with the results

Nice. Only two days. Yikes, what a build! I talked to Pat Keene the other day and he explained that the "counterweight" is actually a "Knocker" as the slot in the metal reaches the end of trave. The purpose of the knocker is to the vibrate the entire drywasher assembly; not to make it run smoother.

I too am building a puffer (not a blower). I would sure like to know where you got the motor. Does it have speed control?

Best of luck, Thurman

Use a 12vdc windshield wiper motor and use the light switch (used) or go to the auto parts store and buy a new one ! and for a "knocker " device on a puffer ,as the bellows completes it's cycle it will hit the bottom of you box and "knock"
