yea I think it was near the end as if it was a preview for next week.
or a hint for investors, or raises from production.

Although I've been very critical of the show, I actually found last night's episode fairly entertaining. Normally, they'd drag 2 dives and 2 sonar inspections over 4 episodes. I also liked that Marty is starting to get super annoyed with Rick and Dan's son. I think he'll snap soon.

Although I've been very critical of the show, I actually found last night's episode fairly entertaining. Normally, they'd drag 2 dives and 2 sonar inspections over 4 episodes. I also liked that Marty is starting to get super annoyed with Rick and Dan's son. I think he'll snap soon.

I thought it was a good episode also. It was nice that we were able to see two dives. I am very interested to see what the metal detector is hitting on in the wall. I hope they can remove it if possible. It seems that Marty has had enough of 10x. I agree with him.

But did anyone else notice that in the previews for next week's episode, they mentioned that they found a total of 3 targets? Remember, 3 chests?

So far the only solid evidence they've found is in archives & tells the most interesting story - the ex-slave who bought up plots of land & died a rich man. Some of the stuff found on those plots is also the most interesting. The rest is all conjecture, lore & conspiracy theories. No hard evidence of anything at all. Just timbers dug up from past failed attempts.

What did they find in the 1st or 2nd season? ONE gold coin down some shaft where others had already dug? I never saw those seasons but all the replays indicate that's the only thing they've found to date. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Even if they do find something big eventually, it can't make up for the time, anguish, death & money it's cost.

Obviously these are "journey" people. Not "destination" or they'd have given up long ago.

And same goes for us fools who watch. It's about the journey, not the destination at this point.

Other then that they have found a railway spike, an old log, some British navy coins (and none of this is from the pit area) I say they have not found anything that is related to the Legend.....

The only thing they have shown (in my view) that supports treasure was once there was the gold cross from the descendants and if that is true that left Oak Island over 200 years ago..

But the mystery is well worth watching.. This place is a true legend where as you say "death & money" has been lost to the pit..

To me the BEST part of this series is that they do not plant evidence.... If they were faking stuff we would have something more then nothing by now.

There are rumors something has been found and will be shown on up an coming shows... But I would bet it is not buckets loads of gold and jewels recoverd from the pit.....

200 hundred years of treasure hunters digging crap out of it.. all they left for the Laginas to find was a railway spike and a log.....

My gut tells me that the railway spike was tossed into the swamp by a previous treasure hunter out of frustration. I can just see Marty doing that next season with one of the metal detectors. "A metal detector.....in the swamp........from the 18th century...... could this be?".

So are they ever going back to the railroad spike, or does the show want us to assume it was from a buried 18th century vessel? Perhaps they're saving this BIG reveal for Season 5.

I'm assuming that the money pit excavation will be completed at the end of this season. I can't imagine Marty spending millions more next season if nothing is found in this area. If there is a Season 5, what can they possibly do to keep fans interested? Go back to 10X again and conduct more dives? Dig up the area around Nolan's cross? A lot of us have stuck with this show since we knew they'd explore the money pit area at some point. Everything else seems like a big stretch at this point. It's sort of like misplacing your wallet, but leaving the most obvious place where it could be for last, since you want to keep the small hope alive it might be there. Once that hope is gone, it just becomes a frantic search with very little hope for a positive outcome.
