san diego

Thank you!
I could have stayed out there longer, but I wasn't really enjoying myself knowing there were guys out there trying to hunt. I have a race at ButtonWillow next week in Bakersfield, so I will be taking the detector along to check some areas out up there. Yea, joining a club like GPAA sounds like a great idea actually. I am moving my manufacturing business to Vegas in a couple months, so I am also looking forward to the monthly trips out there.

Still we should get together one of these days. I spent 14+ years in Vegas.. Not sure about the gold... But I used to catch the hell outa striped bass on lake mead

Hey dragonfly,

If you're not a hunter, and if you've seen any wild pigs out there, pm me where. I grew up in SD and I know those hills pretty well. I'd like to bag a pig.
Thanks man.

I haven't seen any Pigs out there. Curious if there are any. The hunters I met along the trail (three of them) were hunting Deer and Coyotee. One guy had a bad back, so he carted his gear along the trail in a two wheel pull along. He was out for Coyote, and said he usually stays out there until 9 or 10 at nite. And uses a starlight scope.

I have seen them around alpine near the resivoir the problem pigs are smart after being shot at a few times they head to private property

Gentlemen, I'm here in Oceanside. I recently moved back here after being away (overseas) for about 20 years. I'm thinking about getting a new metal detector so will be in need of good metal detecting buddy if I do so. Plus, I wouldn't mind making some trips up North to the real Gold Country to search for some REAL gold nuggets! Hit me back if this sounds interesting. [email protected]

I may be headed to eat fork San Gabriel this weekend. The gold is fair, you can find good pockets once in a while.

I heard they are shutting it down.

Did you end up going? Id like to find a place in Ramona or Banner grade That i could take my 5 year old with me.

Yes i was up there last weekend to say goodbye to a couple friends that just heard up to nor cal. Spent more time drinking beer than digging but was still a great weekend. Yes national monument. Not really sure what is going to mean to us as of yet. Ramona area is tough do to lack of water and public land. Haven't been to Banner

I'll be trying a new spot out by my parents place in the Country estates this weekend.

Thats what I hear. The spot looks kinda hard to get to. Houses n crap. I'll have to hike a bit not sure how im gona do this.

Maybe pack out a bucket of dirt take it home..

That's what i have done in the past. The area is landlocked. .. lots of fancy houses with homeowners that don't want you around

Im Born and Raised in Ramona

I might know some of the people lol

Im a newbie out in the Eastlake area of Chula Vista. Just got a MD for Christmas and am dying to try it out.

Took a trip to East Fork on Friday. Only dig a couple pans of material. Mostly in it for the hike. 5 miles each way. Bridge to Nowhere.
