Looking for the ID on this one. Found in KC yard in a general area that saw Civil War activity. My guess is a Minie ball but I am pretty weak on this sort of thing.

Congrats. I would say it is CW enfield variant. A little smaller than normal. One interesting thing I see, and others may tell me I’m wrong, but it appears to have some casting flaws on the side which can be caused when the mold isnt hot enough when poured. That leads me to think field cast.
