Not much really, but had a great time. Met some cool people. I love that canyon
Yeah, my only real trips up that far were for the company and seeing other people in action. Savage is a cool dude but I havent talked to him much, there is another guy there that I've talked to a bit more though. Wish I could remember his name! If you go up there again and aren't finding anything, there is a bend of dry dirt that was giving up a little more than cattle canyon does, a little bigger in size but not much . I'll find a pic and send it to you sometime.

How you liking dry washing? Been out doing it a few times right?

Haven't done any drywashing yet. Got some invites and plans for when it cools back down. Hoping to be able to buy one by September. You been out lately?

Ah, thought you went a few times. Haven't really been out at all, too much work out in the desert. Headed up to east this Monday. Finally.

Ya been pretty busy myself lately. You should try to make the group dig for KB next sat.

Yeah! I wanted to make it but it turns out I'm working the Pine Valley parade thing going on down here. Seemed like it would have been a good time for a good cause but looks like Im missing it

Got out today for a little San Diego dry washing. Good day and got to see some great gem specimens as well.

Great to see that you got out :)

Yes Meep about to cool down finally. And thanks Kevin. Was a good day with a little gold and got to see some killer gem stones.

Nice picker and gems. Soon you will have even more in your pan. Is that tourmaline in the bottom right pic?

I can't see the pics now so not sure which is which. The pics were tourmaline and kunzite. Both local gems.

Dan correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was called "blue flash"? It's quartz with another mineral oxidized on it that give it a glittering shimmer

Can you find gold in the beach sand around San Diego? I saw tons of black sand in it last time I was there

Never tried, but i guess is possible. Although i would guess it would be super tiny stuff as is so far from the gold fields.

If you are to do beach sand then the best bet, in my opinion would be to use a gold cube. Catches those fines well from what I have heard.
