Wow that’s cool I’m totally afraid to do any harm to it.
I think I’ll leave it as is for now.
Thanks I love yours ... this is my first
Cartridge box plate is hate to ruin it

Charlie next time I come over I’ll bring the proper renaissance wax. Then I’ll put a chair over your head and go home. After that Bart and I will each take custody of the plate every other week.

Ok lol Bart was like ok wait it’s yours but I’m taking it home for safe keeping

There’s been some discussion on weather this is a “ bonnet badge”
Or a cartridge box plate
This artist rendition shows that a similar badge was on the cartridge box. Circled in yellow hh gl

I vote for banner finds very rarely as I agree they must be
Of a uncommon special find
I see the banner votes and I appreciate all of them
(Thanks everyone ) It is a cool piece
With both rarity and historical significance
I believe it will be there soon. Thanks again hh gl

It will make it......Don't worry.

Awesome score Eastcoasthunter21. Wow, simply wow, my banner vote is going in.

Hey thanks Loco , you’ve been to this site
Also. Hope we get to see you soon !! Hh gl

Amazing that it has survived and looks to be in really good shape. Congratulations !

Hi , nice find .Seems strange that british regiments were allowed to have traditional style Scottish outfits but the whole civil population of Scotland were not. THE DRESS ACT 1749 till 1782 . Don,t think British Army sang ' The Skye Boat Song or Johnnie Cope or Moghile Mear . James Edward Stuart was rightful King of England and Scotland. TP

I can hear the imposing tune of The British Grenadiers flute and drum beat playing in my head just from seeing this!
:occasion14:

A rare and epic piece of history. Great save! Banner.

That thing looks neat! Anyone mind filling me in on what a cartridge plate is? I googled it and it took me to HP printers [emoji23]

We’re clueless to wartime relics in the Seattle area.

I just put in my banner vote Charlie, great save, I wish I could have been there with you guys!

Haha, yes, I wish I was there too. It’s always an adventure with Charles and Bart. He told me where he found it and it’s somewhere most of the Basstards gang has been.

Thank you all for the votes I do hope you enjoyed seeing this as much as I did finding it
