What a fantastic find, beautiful shape too for as long as it has been in the ground! I would be incredibly excited to dig one of those! Congratulations!

Steve

Jesus man that’s a very special find! BANNER all day long. Huge congrats to you on such an amazing piece of history....WOW

Wow thank you Ahab
I got on a live dog too video of the dog lol
I haven’t done a live dig in forever either

Congrats on a truly rare Revolutionary War find! I sent in my Banner vote for the find and hope it makes it up top where it should be viewed and enjoyed by everyone.

Thanks everyone I’m really happy it’s going to look great in a display case
I’m looking to find other examples ive found a few
One at the historical society
Another in a museum.
Great find there, and a wonderful piece of history. Congratulations on making the save. I have probably seen 5 or 6 of these posted over last 15 years, but it is without a doubt a banner find and my vote is going in now.

Thanks again guys I’m happy to share
These items we find for everyone to see and enjoy the history
Behind each find , after the find then the research on the find is as thrilling
as the find itself
My collection is growing every day hh gl

I just put in my banner vote Charlie, great save, I wish I could have been there with you guys!

Very cool find
Congrats

Just copy and paste this. You're the top link on Google search for this beauty.

Congrats again!

BANNER vote submitted, this deserves to be on top! You should add the live dig video, I know we had little difficulty with the initial ID but still super cool seeing this thing come out of the ground! Post the video!

Is there any photos or sketches of this plate in use?
That would be really neat!!

Hey , that’s cool roamer66 thanks for the heads up.
Bartek has don’t know how to post the video lol
Be my guest.
Your liberty cap 1/2 cent. deserves a post as well show us what you’ve found

Clean that bad boy up and repost! Vaseline or olive oil coating will seal it when done.......and also bring out detail. This is how ours came out.
