Renewed Today: Researcher needed

Hey CptBil....here's two articles that you may find of interest...

And ... is this the kind of research you are in quest of?

Finding the right "keyword" helps. Tried to search on FIRE MTN...but all I got was FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN :-\....guess I'll need to find a better KEYWORD to shift through that one ...

Enjoy....also found some great articles on the LOST DUTCHMAN GOLD...but they would PDF files and I can't upload them here...if interested...let me know and I can find them again and email to you...

Hope you have a great adventure!
Annmarie

Ron & Ann:
I was born in Phoenix.
So!
I am pretty well aquainted with the L.D.M. and The Superstition Mnts !
I've spent many a day/week back in there...
Back packing in, and dry camping !

Florida Miner:
Nope!
It's NOT! ;D
Between Tampa and Cedar Key!
But!
It does actually exsist !
And It's gold is worth .....??
Well!
I hate to say!
Because it will start a "war of words"
Because some people will simply, not, believe it's worth!
It is a temendous amount! !
And!
What's even better !!!!
I CAN PROVE EVERY WORD !!!
Now!
Before anyone jumps "up and down " ::) & says "do it" ! :-\ :-\
Let me state:
I AM NOT GOING TO DO SO!
At my expense! >:(
I can have an arrangement $,$$$. made, for any "Doubting Thomas's" !
BUT!
If there is some one out there who would SERIOUSLY, like to help the project along...
I can arrange for that also!
You see,
"Doc" lives there IN! Florida ! :D
And!
"We" are free to discuss anything with the RIGHT PARTY(s) ! ;)
AND!~
I AM NOT KIDDING ThIS Is HUGE!!!

WELL!
Back to the "Reseach" part!
Is there a Researcher out there who has any info on the area east of
Wolf Hole Mnts.. Nortwest section, above the Grand Canyon !
OR!
About the area east of "The Hurricane Cliffs"
Where there is a (found & lost) cave with skeletons and leather pouches of gold nuggets in it !

Hurricane Cliffs? interesting place. I have the following:
Mollies GPS stash
Drifty's geocache
1888 US confiscation of $800,000 in Morman property causing them to move to
Short Creek
Dinosaur fossils and footprints
Ghost towns: Silver Reef, a rip roaring silver mining town, and Grafton, a Morman settlement
Fort Pearce, an army outpost
Three Falls, excellent prospecting site
Butch Cassidy and the wild bunch
Lots of history there,as well as Spanish lost mines involving the Paiute

Here's a couple of articles I found....not sure if this is what you are looking for...but either way....here they are! Enjoy!

Ron & Ann:
No!
I am afraid,
This is not what I am looking for!
But!
Thank you for your effort(s)!
I am looking for specfic sites, approximate, of course !
Doc and I will be up in this area, where I do have ONE!
confirmed Treasure site !
I was hoping to have more, as this trip, to this particular area,
& because of it's remote and rugged features,
is going to require, a major effort..
I hate to waste all of our effort(s) on just one site!
Thanks again!

Rockhound:
I would be intersted in on information about:
Mollies GPS Cache
Drifty's Geocache
Dino & Footprints
Three Falls
If you'd share the information and "We" find anything
You will be in for an equal share!

Molly's GPS nipple stash is hidden beneath three small, flat, black rocks along the edge of the basalt rim in a metal ammo can
Drifty's GPS sand Mtn cache is located close to Sand Mtn overlook
Three Falls is located in Zion National Park
Dinosaur tracks were found on the Johnson farm on East Riverside, St. George, also in Warmer
Valley,SW of Hurricane Cliffs, and near Flaming Gorge Resevoir
Dinosaur fossils have been found SE, N and W of St. George area. This is a great location to find
fossils
Also, Butch Cassidy spent some time there, several times and buried loot there at least once. His father was a Morman minister and he was well aquainted with the Mormans in Hurricane Cliffs
If you want, I can dowse it for you.

Rockhound:
I'm afraid that these are TOO! General in description!
Example:
"buried under three small flat black rocks along the basalt rim"
1...Where is the Basalt Rim ? What part of what State ?
2...Any identifying features close to or near the burial site?
3...If the basalt rim is long, say! miles, long,
where along it's length is the stash hidden?
4....Is it, On top of the rim, along the bottom, in a crevice ?
5....What is hidden, coins, jewels, silver bars ? ?

geo caches are usually wooden nickels and trinkets plus a log books. Rarely anything of value. They are usually just a game that people play with their GPS units. You get led to the generic coordinates and then search blin or using the clues that are provided. Getting to be thousands of these nowadays. siegfried schlagrule

Hello S.S. :
It's been awhile since we talked.. ;)
How have you been ?
Into any good caves or mines lately ?

Doing pretty good. Couple of tunnels in the east are looking good. Don't do much with mines and minerals. Good to see you've found a compadre. You two should do really well bouncing ideas off each other. regards, ss

CptBil, I didn't think you would be interesed in Geocaches, but I do have a number of gold prospecting areas in Utah, and several Butch Cassidy hideout locations in Utah-Colorado. Let me know if want them.

You're right!
"Doc & I " aren't into playing Games!
But!
If you have some real information on a real treasure site..
That'll get our attention! :P

The Cienga brothers were bandits in 1800's. They stole an army payroll of $75,000 in gold coins. The coins are buried near the old Cienga pony express station in Santa Cruz county, Pontano
Canyon. This is between Tucson and Benson. They were not recovered
Tom Watson buried a bag of gold behind a waterfall on Tanner trail between Colorado River
and the town of Cibola in Yuma county. He never could relocate them later. This was probably
a stream that only flowed at certain times of the year when snow melted and runoff. The stream had a 20 foot drop into a pool below

Were they buried in the canyon or near the station?

We're talking alot of countryside here!

The Cienga brothers buried the gold coins close to the Pony Express station. They were searched for by the army a few months later, but were not found. They stuck swords in the ground trying
to hit something solid. They could not have searched much with this method. They should be very close, as they intended to recover them and flee the country.

The point I am trying to make is..
The area mentioned could cover hundreds if not thousands of yards ..
Is the treasure buried north of, south of, east of or where from the station!
As the Army found out, it is pretty much useless to go hunting something that is that small in that large of an area!
There has to be a better description or an exact direction, distance from the station, etc ..!
Otherwise it's like finding a needle in a hay stack !
A good example is the Lost Durchman Mine in Arizona
There's all kinds of maps, trail signs, markers,
HECK! Even Movies about it, etc ...
1000's have looked :P
No one has found it yet!
That One little bit of specfic information is missing!

Hey Capt. if there was a better description or exact distance then the treasure would have been found a long time ago. Thats why there are still unfound treasure catches out there. You're not going to find the exact pinpoint location of any treasure (or mine) published anywhere. Its not that simple.
