I took a few samples from there, which I have yet to mail in for an assay!
I, Need to do that tomorrow, Monday!
If they "prove out", I'll be heading back out there!
But!
Right now,
I am now in a search for a small, $40-50 K stash.....down here
I hope to get it down to the "Dig Here!" stage in a few weeks!
I'm Having a hard time pinning down the exact location!
Every one knows ( TH'ers) about it, the approximate location/story
BUT!
No One knows exactly where it is!
I think it's down river from where I live,
Another TH'er thinks it may be UP River from here! ???
AND!
Then! Too! ::)
I am either going to fix up my boat, a 20'er !
Or!
To buy another , But! Larger boat!
I'd like something around 25-30' long, with a large deck area for salvage diving/work!
Made a trip down the Florida to see one, sounded real good, but! that boat, a 28'er, was in worse shape than mine!
Mine just needs some engine/outdrive work !
But!
I'd still like something a bit larger!
Cappie: EM me the story and the topo map attachment, and I'll map dowse it if you like, for informational purposes. stvn.

Morbiusandneo:
There's no more need to do any "dowsing" for that one ! ;D
If you get my "drift" ? ::)
But!
I do have a nice Big One in the very upper, NW section of Arizona.
I am in the planning stage, of the trip, for it now!
I hope to have everything ready to head over there, by this coming fall !
I'll have to buy another topo map for it, as I only have one!
Which I have marked several bits of information on it!
Give me your address and when I get a new "topo" for it, I'll take you up on your kind offer!
Of Course!
If your dowsing does make a "Hit!"
You'll be in for an equal share !
Which WILL! free you from the old 8-5 ! ;D

Re: Researcher needed

Anyone who is interested on going along on the above trip,
Leave a "post" here for more information about the site/trip!

let's get-r-done, been a boater here in michigan for 12yrs. Cappy.. And are we talking about the u-boats that were coming from the caribbean into the gulf during WWII, i never heard of one being lost in the gulf side, i know of the ones on the atlantic.. but hey i love my WWII history got a name or a u- boat no# and you've ever gave a thought about great lakes wreaks ? my email is [email protected]>> Cappy hit me up , I always wanted to learn how to dive, but me and Jaws wouldn't get along...lol... and any chance ever hear any stories about Jekyl Island off the georgia coast & Black Beard using it as a stomping ground or a layover? Jeff
I don't know much about pirate lore, but I used to belong to some "conspiracy" type forums and I recall it was said repeatedly that there is some kind of gubermint black-ops program going on since the 70's on Jekyl island & if you try sneaking on you will "disappear"... Only one way to find out if this is rumor or factual. Me, I'm that curious about Blackbeard, so i would never go there...stvn.

Good!
I'll get to ordering the topos tomorrow ~
I need several areas....anyhow !
Good deal!! Cappy, another thing is that I have found out over the years thru experience that many times while dowsing more information "bleeds thru".So, what I am saying is that you'll get more than just a typical "X" marks the spot type thing from me. Just provide me with as many details as possible. First I dowse the accuracy of every aspect of the details. And, then I get to the map.The map I'll dowse over a several day period, which is how i find out if I am dowsing a "remnant" or an actual existing location.I'll feed you the information as I get it, but the final analysis will come back by US mail to you. I look forward to helping you in whatever way I can, and thanks so very much for your generous offer for compensation. Good Luck diving!! I made it 75% thru the class to become a certified diver with the YMCA back in 1979 here in chicago. For me, that was the most difficult part of passing near the very end. This is where the instructor directs the students to tread water for15 minute. Boy, it didn't sound like much or very long. But, I tell you that was the longest 15 minutes in my life. but, I did do it!! Sadly, i chickened out after that and never went back for the final class. To get the certification he said we would have to tread water for 30 minutes!!Back then I played basketball in summer & hockey in the winter and was in way better shape than I am today. And, I JUST BARELY LASTED THE 15 minutes!!! So, from personal experience, I tip my hat to you in respect. I know first hand what it takes to be a SCUBA (self-contained-underwater-breathing-apparatus)diver.

Re: Researcher needed

To be truthful, I have been diving for many decades, ( I don't want to mention how many)
In The Atlantic, Pacific, The Gulf, "Baha", So. China Sea, Hawaii, etc... and I have yet to have to have to do any serious "Treading" !
AND!
I hold a "Rating" of "Rescue Diver"!
Some of these "Instructors" get some really weird ideas!
I have taught SCUBA, of course, privately/clubs, etc , but also, in the USMC, College (Here in Tx) and at a NC YMCA ...
While teaching
I always, try to make learning a fun and enjoyable process !
I don't want to discourge anyone from enjoying the sport, by making into a "He Man" Sport!!
I have taught, a one legged person, an older person (76 yrs old) a person who could not swim (and he still can't!) ;D
All learned!
Plus!
A bunch of "Whipper Snappers" :-\ could couldn't sit still for any kind of class room learning!

Re: Researcher needed

Sorry, That I haven't answered any "posts" for awhile!
BUT!
I'm finally back!
I had a trip to New Mexico,
Which Sure! Didn't work out! :(
So!
I'm now back home making arrangements for a very long trip next year, '08!
I hope that it'll be time to head out, around March!
I'll be out until ??? (Dec, Jan, ??)
Don't really know!
Don't have a set schedule!

"Doc77" is planning to come along,
AS soon as he finds a good 4x4 Ford PU
He wants spend the rest of his life out there! ;D
Sitting around the campfire, feet up on a rock, spinning some treasure tales
& shooting the breeze under the stars !
If you live in NM, Az, Nv, So Ca, & maybe Utah/Colo
Drop me line and
Maybe we'll beable to swing by.
As for now!
I've got to get back to "lining" things out for the trip!
I'll be posting "off and on" again, tho!

Re: Researcher needed

Here's something for you "researchers"
I know of a Huge Gold Coin Treasure
It is in about 30 feet of water
Laying just off shore!
Here's the problem:
The ship that sank, about 150 yrs ago, was a U.S. Navy Ship!
Sank during a storm trying to (Anchor) make it to shore!
It was carrying this cargo!
Of GOLD COINS
Three of the sailors ( of about 25 seaman) made it to shore,
Two were killed by Hostile Indians
THe gold coins were from US Mint
Worth at today's collectors value
Around $500,000,000! !
Anyone have an idea or .... ?
On how to salvage these?
W/o getting in a shooting war ?
I would imagine because of the value involved that there's going to be TROUBLES!
That's why I haven't gone for it before!
I can PROVE EVERY WORD of the ABOVE!
With Official Documents!

Gulf Coast! ;)
Of,
The U.S.A. !

Re: Researcher needed

I hope you are not referring to the "legend" of the ship carrying the money for the Louisiana Purchase.

Re: Researcher needed

the ship you are refering to , is it between tamp and cedar key. i heard of one around horseshoe key from locals at cedar key they claim that no one has a salvage on it but i dont know that to be true.

Re: Researcher needed

Say!
Doc:
I meant to ask you last night over the phone,
Would your "Cam" Bearing tool fit the Jeep?
The Bearings measure around 2.12 " for the number five bearing
down to 1.9 " for the number one bearing
Thanks

Re: Researcher needed

Anyone in the Kingman/Bull Head City area who is free to do some "research" ?

I have a couple of sites that need some serious research'n ::)

Hay!
Jefferelli:
