I was sitting here looking at some old bookmarks and came across this old video that was made during the Lake Combie Incident. I had been contacted by Fox News because they wanted to use some of our dredging clips in a supposedly pro-gold mining video and this is how it came out... This was for the Western Mining Alliance and it has some of their clips along with some of my 6" homebuilt.

Too bad dredging isn't allowed in California anymore. And it seems that high banking has many hurdles you have to jump in order to do that. I wonder when California will ban mining by private individuals, while still allowing commercial interests to continue destroying our environment.

I guess dry washing and using just a hand sluice is still OK. Your post got me looking around on the internet. California is super restrictive. I'm surprised they don't tax us to breathe.

Just tossing this video playlist in -

And some Tertiary Channel Maps because I don't see how to add more albums to my profile page anymore.

I took some pics of a hardrock specimin that came out of one of our mines. This one was a Christmas present from my mom to me after I sold off a bunch of other chunks for her to pay off the medical bills.

Well It’s apparent that you have a great handle on the true value of gold. No use looking back, but thanks for sharing. What state by the way are you calling home? Arizona still?
Yup, Arizona is my home state, though I still pay taxes to California as well... Kind of like Dual Citizenship, I still harvest good gold in California on my mining claims, but then I harvest good gold here in Arizona as well.

We got down to the Hassayumpa River and did some dredging on our mining claim back in June, here's a short video -

Thanks for the video Reed, brings back a lot of good memories of dredging when we were allowed to do it, always loved dredging.

All the best to you,

Lanny

Well 😎
I'm now a board member of the Weaver Mining District and we are running all membership renewals and business out of my house here in Congress, Az. Everything has changed as far as adresses & phone #s but we have set up a new facebook page and we still have the claims down past Stanton for those that are familiar with the Rich Hill area.
I'm just putting the word out and working on colorizing and bring it back as best I can.
