Ya I searched it !!!! Eye with centered pupil. Look for somthing buried, looking at treasure, or look around tree. Thats what they say. This one had the faucet end of a small galvenized pipe that ran father back into the woods.

Chipped corners on the lid hmmmmm. 1 of a few cisterns here.

Oh it was just this taped pipe, and small jar.

Some days you got to just dig. If there was a little box under that lid filled with silver change in it I would show it off. No silver dollars in the pipe, and no dimes in the jar. Nice pea rock coming out of that hole. Hmm almost looks like fill.

Miss that talent !!

I found this on a short wagon road between a sawmill and a fishing resort.
Hand made, picture really shows the deliberate sharp point on the hook-end,
and the right-angled opposite end, that has obvious battering at the 90 degree bend,
where it was hammered into an upright timber, just to hang meat anywhere - in
that early culture, quite handy in the woods... Popular item, as I found TWO on that
same wagon road - the second was a bit smaller/shorter...!
Don't worry, I returned them to their same orientation, depth and location....!
I re-bury most of my iron items...!
For scale, the Frisbee is about 12" in diameter.

Why do you re bury them? Just not what you are looking for?

They are right where they were lost or discarded, to be found by someone else who really wants rusty ol' Relics, and are willing to conserve/restore them to original metal. Me, I have no room for that kind of stuff on my bookshelves - I look for small, round, flat objects..., like COINS!
