Monument at South Pass, Wyoming. It says Narcissa Whitman and Eliza Spaldng were the first white women to cross that pass, July 4, 1836. To the right of that monument the water flows to the Atlantic, and to the left, the water flows to the Pacific.

In the Navy, I had Side Cleaner duties, which was below the waterline,
so I scraped and used the paints Red Lead (orange) and Battleship Grey.
Never had the pleasure of dealing with my ship's anchors, it was another Deck
division's job...! :whip2:
