Yeah I'm not sure.His total confirmed kills(they had to be confirmed by a ranking officer to be classified 'confirmed') was 93.In reality the total # was 3x that.There were many movies made about him,Tom Berenger played Carlos in a couple of them.

Enough time has passed now to get an official count through FOIA.

I certainly never operated in that theater, to young, but have operated in many others. Confirmations through statements, lots of low level kills, then of course the few glamour shots. But really in these times numbers (actual) are far higher.

That said; Nam, great deal of targets or shots taken for that matter where classified. Beit the target its self or the AO the shot was taken in or from.

Just putting that out there, too many people have a screwed up idea that a staff officer is actually standing over the shooter to confirm.

Really to hard to explain further without breaking the political forum rules.
