You guys were talking about the Winchester Mod. 94 . Well,Feast your eyes on THE guns that WON the West :) View attachment 1651347
Winchester Mod 94 in 30/30 Cal. ...Perfect balance, light weight, small frame, short barrel, great brush gun.:)Pared up with the (legendary)12 gauge side by side, "coach gun" and the single action Colt 45 in 45 Long Colt :)
Whats not to like .Works 4 me .

nice guns my dad has one of those 94 Winchesters

I was in garden city is driving around in my red dodge dart with a six cylinder and bad muffler.
This dude comes along with a dodge rt. One of those factory beasts.
So I hit the gas, muffler roaring. Man he got pissed lol.
He floors it and goes around me. Left me of course.
He thought I had something under the hood lol.

About a 72 Ford LTD with a 400 engine.
Thrush muffler, (I was short on funds when the muffler rotted out and had a Thrush from somewhere...)

One early but fine spring day ,just mindin my own beeswax on the road a 68ish Javelin looking fresh out of storage (we use road salt here in winter ,death to metal) pulled up along side at the light and rapped his exhaust a few vrooms...
Well sure ,I vroomed the authoritative 400 gently a couple times to oblige his ambition and nodded at him , then watched the light to change.

Now I used to do silly things on the road (in competition with friends mainly) but it costs to beat on engines and drive trains and I was down to driving a beater that did not need to be driven hard.

The light changed and the driver in the Javelin got right on it hard!!! I laughed as he jumped out and was on a purposeful mission of showing me what it could do.
About the time he hit third there was a heck of a cloud of smoke and he shook over to the road shoulder and parked.
I honked and waved on the way past....Vroooom.:laughing7:

You're ready for anything lol.

You're ready for anything lol.

Except for his eyes gettin old....:occasion14:

Course....If he can see me within range of that double barrel....That's seeing enough.

Had a running joke with a neighboring land owner now passed , who could see about three feet.
Helped him get the bucket on his tractor when we met as it was too far for him to see from the cab.
My having one leg inspired him to say , "If you're goin to tresspass you better be runnin cause I have a shotgun!"

I looked over some ag type tracks about a week later that had turned up on my property wondering who had the nerve....But got to thinking if it wasn't from next door.
On my next visit to his house he was apologetic about getting lost on his tractor (without my having mentioned any tracks).
I had no problem with his getting lost , and told him so.
A ride was his routine and he couldn't drive anywhere else than his land anymore. Understandably . The deer were used to him and were not offended , why should I have been? I did caution him to stay out of the drain though.
And I was cautious to keep an ear out for a diesel engine for a while....

3 shot group 300 yards,Remington 700 BDL in 25/06
Wanna shooting match let me know :)

Isn't that what the shotgun is for? ;)

What , he gonna go all Dick Cheney on some one and pepper em?:laughing7:

Ya , them coach guns were a deterrent within close range of a buggy seat...Two barrels of buckshot could ruin both horse and rider.
Add some choke and reach even further with a tighter group.

Not really with those .They are 'old school' if you know what I mean :) But their a blast to shoot .If for no other reason than what they Once were....History !:)

GREAT result Bro!! You shoot same groups on 300 as me (with 30x magnification) :laughing7: :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

But to be honest, I only can do this with self loaded ammo. With regular shop ammo I shoot on 300 yards 6 to 7 cm groups. Here you can see clearly the BIG difference.
To shoot regular ammo makes no fun for me. That´s only waste of time for me so I don´t do it anymore. I am also such crazy with my crossbow bolts and pellets! Only one 10th of a gram and the crossbow bolts goes to the "only for defense box" LOL All others are match bolts which goes into special transport boxes that also protect the vanes.

Btw. there must be differences between the Remington 700 for the US and european market. The 700s from out club doesn´t shoot such great - even not on 100 Meters.

Man, hearing diesel coming closer and closer lol.
My nephew used go buy and sell beaters on the side in Alabama. So they came to visit one time and be gave me two single shot shotguns him and s black dude found in the trunk of a car in a junkyard. The barrels were cut off extremely short:)
We took them out one night to shoot them.
So running down a back road and just shot them out the window. Sounded like cannons in the car ;) If we had got stopped I think we would have been in a lot of trouble just due to the barrel length.
Pretty dumb shenanigans lol

She escaped again?! Better warn JG. :(

Buddy, if all woman looked like this 10.000 years ago, we have to build a time machine with one way ticket NOW! :laughing7: :icon_thumleft:

Agreed, factory loads can never compare with custom hand loads.Anyone who REALLY is into shooting knows this :) The best 3 shot group @ 300 yds( w/factory ammo) was 1 inch..... .The proof is in the podding. 003.JPG

Nice loading station!

1" with factory ammo is rare. You should have bought up the entire production at one LOL

PS: Do you fill directly from the filler on top of the station?

We weight every single load on a grain scale and using a special tool to put in additional powder piece by piece to get the exact weight.
