Roger,

Well done that certainly looks like a tasty dish. We do a lamb shank recipe a couple of times a year which is quite nice also in a wine sauce.

I Love lamb shank ,(done right, fall off the bone). And for being a 'cheap cut' it aint cheap !:)

Roger,

So true about the price of lamb shanks, not sure but odds are good that with all the star chefs pushing for recipes with cheaper cuts of meat thats affecting the price.

We used to make osso buco with veal shanks now the price is crazy at least here so we switched to pork shanks and now thats been going up like crazy.

Heres a recipe for the lamb shanks similar to what we do. I serve it on garlic roasted mashed potatoes with some peas spread over.

I am starting to have second thought about going to their houses, tonight we will be in the upper 30's and I want to go somewhere a touch warmer, say 30+ degrees warmer. To early for this crap. We had 11 confirmed tornadoes yesterday,( one where I live ), and now frost warnings for portions of the state. I want one of Tom's secluded Beach Bunker hideouts with all the amenities. :laughing9::laughing9:

You missed the boat, Tom. You could've had a discount. Now I am fixing the truck. Besides, Simon's offer is pretty tempting. :laughing9:

My aunt fixed lamb once when I was staying over. It was disgusting! And my uncle made us kids eat every bite. I haven't attempted to try it since.
