Do you think the same on that "thing" as I do? Keyhole in the middle and very "ergonomic" shape - specially at the bottom!
Just finished it and thought to show it to you.
The archeologists described it at part of armor but the iron is way to thin. On the inside are remains of organic material.
Any suggestion would be great! May someone saw something similar in a museum.

I tend to agree with Roger and Bill as part of a stove pipe, and the "key" hole was for the damper. As far as organic material, a dead mouse
If it actually is armor, then maybe a covering for a knee or elbow. If it is thin material, might it have been from a ceremonial suit of armor ?
