Did you say "pass" or "pass out" ? View attachment 1633686

LOL Here's a story for you. Several years ago, we had a Birthday Party for Mr. WD. I was on a Spumante kick at the time. My son kept spiking my wine with moonshine. My grandson took a video of me wrestling my son to the ground. I guess that was after I found out what he did. To this day, I don't remember it. Ha Ha!

I was a branch manager for a warehouse distribution center and once a year we had our meeting at corporate. Our company owner "physically" lived next door to Warren Buffet and they were pretty good friends. Probably in the 1990's we had a meeting I remember because Warren Buffet sent one of his Human Resource managers to our meeting to educate us on that subject. It was a shock to learn all the things that could be considered harrasment. The list of "TRIVIAL" stuff was a mile long. And by trivial, I mean bending over to tie your shoelace could be considered sexual harrasement. ???

Yes!! I had a girl in a skirt do something along those lines..:laughing7: I know it was on purpose! I just kept talking and acted like I didn't see it. I didn't mind though...:laughing7: That place was a little different for some reason..The first VP when I was working there was sleeping with a girl in the office, making her promises. When the promises didn't pan out and she was bypassed on a position she was supposed to get? She told all, and the idiots had all their conversations through company Email, not realizing that it belongs to the company and there is no privacy....They were both fired.

Simon,

At least I have one story that I can share about one of the gals I worked with that gave the finger to all this pc bs.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Near the tail end of my career most of my team mates were just kids starting their careers fresh out of university in their early to mid twenties and me at 50ish was an old fart by their standards.

But that said being fairly open minded I partied with them till the wee hours when we had group meetings in Calgary (I was only member still based in Montreal at that time). I acted as a mentor to most of them and one I especially took under my wing was Rita.

She was a fiery gal of Lebanese/Armenian descent....well on one of my visits to Calgary she spots me from across the office about 50 feet away and makes a mad dash across the office.

Jumps in the air and locks her legs around my waist and gives me a big hug....I had a grin from ear to ear but tried to be serious and told her she shouldn't behave that way what were the bosses going to think?

She tells me with a straight face f.....them we're buddies it's none of their business.....:laughing9::laughing9::laughing9:

That's priceless, but like you suggested, if someone walked into that room right at that time, could have ended badly. We had a girl working for us that would do similar things. She was Bipolar and we tried to avoid her like the plaque because you never knew which version she was at that moment.

Simon,

Well when Rita started she was on the shy side and our boss at the time used to use me as a sounding board. He confided in me that he didn't think she had what it took to be in marketing and was seriously considering letting her go.

I told him give me 6 months and she'll be the best marketer in the group. And sure enough she turned into a tiger over that time frame with a bit of encouragement and ego stroking from me.

He asked what happened I told him she had that ability all along all I did was encourage her to use it....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I had heard they were planning to cut some staff and was a bit concerned that some of my team mates might be at risk since quite a few didn't have a very large account base. So since I had enough senority for an early retirement I offered myself to hopefully save a couple of them.

Well when I got the offer and accepted the GM requested I keep the news to myself until he told my team mates which I agreed to.

Well after the news came out Rita was the first one to phone me and rather than congratulations her first question was were you being pushed out.....she was ready to go on the warpath to protect me.....:laughing9::laughing9::laughing9:

I had to reassure her that I had volunteered and was ok with it.

Bill, in the nineties I was on a graphical chat forum. There were a few men who were referred to as CD's Or crossdressers. I was good friends with one. The thing is he and others understood they were not born female. One could sympathize with that. Like wishing you were born extremely handsome or into wealth.
Just the way things were. These guys did what they were comfortable with. Perhaps only being 'women' online or dressing as female in real life or even gettung surgery. My friend was a cool guy.
The thing is they accepted their circumstances.
Now people talk of being assigned a gender at birth as if some evil doctor forced them into their sex.
I looked into this early this year because the subject came up in a forum. Nearly half of trans attempt orr succeed at suicide. After the pills and surgery this statistic does not change. There are people who suffer from body dysphoria and they are not getting treated properly because of the gender nonsense.
And with all the new genders, as well as gender fluidity, how can anyone keep from offending someone? Your co-worker may change genders between the start of work and lunch lol
I am waiting for the day the first woman player is celebrated for playing in the NFL and it will be a man who identifies as a woman.
I will treat people with respect until they show it is undeserved but I am not going to be forced to enable sheer fantasy. You can identify as a mermaid if you like but it does not mean you are one :)

I agree!!! This stuff is so crazy. I'm a person that does not care what people do. I was getting psych. magazines directed to therapists. Don't even remember the name since my memory sucks....Anyhow, one of them was talking about how to encourage the patient or the parents of the patient, Kids were mainly the subject, to explore that side and they should support them. I don't want to offend anyone, but that's not right!!! My mom even has pictures of me at about 4 or 5 in her makeup......Thank god she didn't encourage it!!:laughing7: Like I said, I do not care what choices anyone ,makes in their search for happiness. But don't try to shame me into agreeing....Which is the goal today.
