Hillbilly Prince,

Well I try to stick to mostly chicken and fish when it comes to meat protein, the red meats especially as we get older tend to clog up the arteries.

If you want other vegetarian options, chickpeas, dried beans, peas, lentils as well as various nuts and seeds will give you non meat protein.

That's also the advice of my doctor who's a young guy about mid 30's who's about 70% vegetarian mainly because he suffers from MS and has to be careful of what he eats as a result. A pretty special guy because he came down with it when he was in medical school and his case was so bad they did an experimental surgery on him using stem cell procedures.

I'm not a vegetarian. Love fish, seafood, pork. But good beef is so high. Elk meat is the best but not easy to get here lol I'll try those suggestions. Thanks!
I heard a doctor on the radio. With John Hopkins or another famous cancer treatment center. He developed cancer and he said he knew following the protocol would ensure death. He had followed the protocols for other cancer patients as a cancer doctor.
He had to argue with physicians and the insurance company but he won out and was able to use alternative medicines and treatments. He beat the cancer.
Protocols seem mainly to exist to protect from malpractice claims.
Another woman who treated breast cancer patients noticed she was seeing younger and younger women, as well as seeing a rise in cases.
She began to look into the issue and developed a way to cancer-proof one's self to a great extent. She recommended a Japanese mushroom extract, vitamin D, and one other vitamin. Have it wrote down somewhere.
What astounded her was when she approached organizations and medical centers involved in treating cancer, she found there was no interest in her work on prevention. They were only interested in developing treatments. More drugs.

Why does she do that to everyone? Doesn't seem very nice..

Because Bill said something about the saying that if someone picks on you it means they like you. I wanted everyone to know that I like them! :love7::love4:

But every time I look for Virginia, I get West Virginia and it ain't the same. Plus, I have to go through all 50 to figure out where Simon1 is from. Lol.
But, Hillbilly Prince started it by posting the " You ain't a pirate" video.

That seems reasonable on your part. You go girl!! I'm going to bed.

Hillbilly Prince,

Well the problem is very little research is done on nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle choices to improve health.

Bottom line there's no money in it for the people who have a vested interest in prescribing drugs, follow up visits to the doctor, lab tests, etc...

When I was houng you hardly ever heard of someone with cancer and these other health problems. Now these things are almost as common as colds. I think it is largely diet. Have you heard of Dr. Wallach? He has a website. Criticalhealthnews.com. I learned a lot listening yo him on the radio. One thing he talks about is how people used to throw ashes from their woodstoves and ovend and fireplaces on their gardens. This provided minerals to their produce. Modern produce is lacking in the vitamens and minerals.
He talks a lot about our doctors and how they treat people like ATMs.
No one is responsible for your health but you, as someone said. Can't believe the garbage which is pushed on people nowadays as healthy eating.

I also believe modern day stress has something to do with it...Or..all the radiation(?) going through the air. Think of all the electronic stuff sent through the air, along with power lines and all of that, that they didn't have 100 years ago. I can't understand How my Great Grandfather smoked since he was 11 and drank since he was 16, worked on a farm most his life. Died at 97. Now..He got emphazemia(spelling) at 87 but it was never bad enough that he needed oxygen full time. But he was 87!!! From what I was told he chain smoked and stayed drunk most of his life......But My Mom who is as straight as an arrow had cancer twice, my Dad had it and was given 6 months to live in 1972. I guess the just started playing with chemo at that time...He refused!!! He beat it and is alive today. Doesn't smoke doesn't drink. and didn't before he got it. My Grandfather died of brain cancer he didn't smoke, and lived a pretty straight life. Scares the crap out of me!!! I'm a smoker and haven't lived healthy!! Hope I have my Great Grandfathers genes!!!!:laughing7:
