Thoughts on a detector

Didn’t get home with much daylight, did another night hunt, again very impressed, worked areas I’ve worked a bunch of times before and I came up with 3 pennies, 64d Lincoln, 34 wheat and 19 wheat. It absolutely picks up targets my old one didn’t. Itching to get to some better sites than my yard.

OTB (Older the better) what program are you using and how do you clean your coins ?

Right now since I’m working on short time in the dark, just general 1. I briefly tried fast and relic but thought maybe I should get a hold of general first.

The coins I knew weren’t high dollar, especially the 64 so I hit them with a brass brush on a wheel. The wheats were pretty crusty beforehand, could just barely make out Lincoln’s outline. The 1919 with the striations was just how the coin came out I do small circles with the brush to avoid a similar effect.

On better coins I’ve gone with an oil soak and toothpick method

I think coins dug are not worth any where near the value of non dug coins value of the same year and description.
I may be wrong but this is just my observation
