Folks,

Some Leonard Cohen for you.

Bill that is great! I got a couple of bones to pick with you however. First of all everytime you post a food video I swear I gain weight lol. I may have to skip those.
Also, are you sure you are Canadian? You seem so Midwestern. And normal! Have you had a DNA test?
The reason I ask is that in the 90's and actually to date every Canadian I met on the net proved to be somewhat touched in the head. To put it kindly. I really don't mean to insult you lol. Maybe I was just in the wrong places???
I had a conversation with a Swedish lady once. She said they had to learn English in school, as is the case in many countries. It is so discouraging when kids from other countries speak English better than Americans. I think Deborah Harry had to resort to phonetic pronounciation on one of her songs.

Anyway barring the ori ginal artist this is my favorite version. These are special needs kids from Ireland.

Bill, I am going to read this carefully with an open mind in a bit. This issue has been made a right versus left thing here. I will honestly admit I have been nearly conditioned to just dismiss anything like climate change talk. I am not so much a "true" conservative but I support the U.S. Constitution. No one wants dirty air, polluted water or such. But we got to be careful about getting into politics so that's all :)

WD,

Go for it we picked up some sweet bell peppers for 99 cents per lb or about 75 cents US so 2 lbs will give us enough peppers for 2 meals each plus stuffing, etc....not all that difficult. You can even cook up the rice, meat and other stuffings the night before and load it in the peppers. Just pop it in the oven when you get home from work and poof you're good to go.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Peppers are expensive here. $1.00 each is a good price if I can find it.

WD,

That's why you get paid the big bucks....:laughing9::laughing9::laughing9: since I worked in marketing it was hinted several times that I could get a promotion if I moved over to accounting. My answer was marketing gives me a buzz if I moved over to accounting I'd be so bored; so just shoot me and put me out of my misery.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I don't get paid big bucks. The idea is, I am saving the company big bucks, making the company profit more, which then benefits the families. Plus there's that trust issue. The "buzz" was gone after the first 5 years.

Well there you go. That is something we have in common. I posted that one on my music thread. It started the whole conversation with Don.

Hillbilly Prince,

Well keep in mind I spent 35 years in railway marketing for the Canadian Pacific Railway. We had customers on both sides of the border and had 3 US railroads that were part of the Company. Delaware + Hudson, Soo Line and the DME. Also dealt with the major US railroads NS, CST, UP and BNSF as well as lots of short line railways in the mix.

6 trips to Barbados, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and who knows how many trips across Canada and various US destinations. All that to say I try to be fairly open minded since I've been around the block a few times over the years....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

And yeah maybe you just met the wrong types of people mind you there's people that are a bit off no matter where you go as I'm sure you know.....:laughing9::laughing9::laughing9:

WD,

Well we're fortunate because Montreal has quite an ethnic mix there's a small chain of Lebanese fruit and veggie stores and they are importers, wholesalers, etc...and sell to the general public so we can get most of our fruits and veggies for about 1/2 what you'd pay at a regular super market. It also helps that we are a distribution center for a lot of food products so usually we can track down good prices on just about anything with a bit of effort.

BTW, gentleman, thanks for the videos. Might make tomorrow a little easier at work. I've been having a real hard time with motivation lately.

HP,
After awhile it's not exactly easy to know what's fact and what's fiction. One thing is certain all the junk we release into the environment certainly is not helping things.

Likewise I guess I'm kind of what you'd call a centrist and lean to the right somewhat. Don't agree with going overboard in either direction which I believe is true for most things in life.

Way long ago my grandpa on my mom's side was the engineer on a steam train in Arkansas.
I have never got out of this country lol.
I know there are some odd people all over and it has nothing to do with origins.
By the way, in the spring and summer there are folks selling stuff out of their gardens on the sides of roads, on the town square every Saturday, and even on the Tractor Supply lot next to Walmart. You can't complain about not being able to buy cheap good produce until winter.

We supposedly have a farmers market in town on Saturdays, but I am hardly home on the weekends. When I am we are running to one or both of the grandkids sporting events.
