What bothers me is that it promotes not even trying. There is an over abundance of those types here. Overweight and tattooed. Of course there are guys who will tell them they are hot because such guys will take anyone with a pulse in order to cross the goal line.
Bill,I tried Maxwell House. But I drink Folgers mixed with Dunki Donuts or other such brands. Diner coffee around here is usually good. I've even tried grinding my own coffee beans. Folger coffee has really taken a dive in quality over the years. Kind of like Coke:)

Hillbilly Prince,

Some more Van Morrison for you.

I remember that one! I'll see if I can find a song of his which was really goid, I thought.
You probably remember Brown-Eyed Girl. That song is hard for me to listen to because it makes me think of my schnauzer named Heidi.
When we got home from church on Sundays I would crank up Blondie or something and she would stand up while I held her paws and hop around like she was dancing. She loved music lol.

Bill and RTR,

You two are mean. But if I was to cheat on the diet, it would be RTR's. LOL. This weekend I hope to cheat with this:

WD,

Well I suscribe to the theory fuel in and fuel out when it comes to food.

Luckily I don't have much of a sweet tooth, however, I do enjoy my beer so by walking 1 hour per day I figure I burn off about the equivalent of 25 lbs per year in calories. That easily covers off on my beer consumption and the ocassional heavier more calorie laden meal.

So there you have my simplistic solution to maintaining a fairly steady weight. Mind you we prepare most meals form scratch which helps also to control how many calories go on our plates.

Tonight we had mashed potatoes so rather than loading it up with butter or cream just used low fat milk and to give it a kick roasted up some garlic for added flavor.

I wish I would have maintained! Yes from scratch and natural foods is best. Potatoes are bad for me, too much starch. We roast cauliflower with garlic instead.

WD,

Whatever works, since I come from New Brunswick pototoes is like almost a religious thing just like for the Irish....:laughing9::laughing9::laughing9:

WD, it is so easy to gain weight. I can easily if I don't watch it. It really is a matter of burning more than you take in. But did you know there actually is a fat burning hormone? You have to use under a doctor's supervision.
You can search for Dr. Poppy of Springfield , Missouri.
That is also where I learned that doctors use a test for tbyroid problems which does not measure what needs to be measured. I heard her radio show by accident one day. She isn't a whack job lol.
I think I prefer my coffee maker to your machine. If I could only figure out where to order one...

Cutthroat Island
