Bill, since you are this dining pro maybe you could help me. I have been searching for coffee which tastes like diner coffee. Maybe I'm doing it wrong or whatever.

Well I'd assume most diners use low end coffees I know for everyday use we go with Maxwell house coffee and just use a drip machine to brew it.

Other people and or diners/restaurants may use different machines to brew the coffee such as percolators I know some people swear percolated coffee is they way to go.

I know that didn't answer your question though.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7: if you don't mind spending a bit of extra money you could always go to one of those high end places that sell fancy coffees by weight and do their own roasting and grinding on the spot. Just tell them what type of flavor you prefer, mild, medium or dark roast and they should be able to steer you in the right direction.

For restoration, to play with :laughing7: and years ago I have build show lasers for rent etc.

A visit to America is difficult. I am DEADLY afraid of flying and moving to the US..... don´t think thats a great idea.

To be honest, all this different ethnics on one place scares the :censored: out of me and it will make more and more problems in future!

But you are right, would be real cool to see you all in person!! :icon_thumright: Guess we would have a lot of fun.

I'm with you.....I eat pretty much anything but I've tried blood sausage a couple of times and not to my taste....

Flying's not the problem....its the sudden stop that gets ya:)

That is a bitter sweet thing about the forum. You get along pretty well with people and you can’t meet them in your real world.

Before I retired I did an awful lot of business travel as well as vacation travel by plane. Like you and a lot of others I was always a bit nervous flying.

I remember being in the waiting lounge back in the days we were allowed to smoke in airports and mentioning to a pilot about being nervous.

He said the best way to get over that problem was simple.....he said just remember the pilot is flying the most precious cargo in the world.

When I asked what he answered "His A _ S"....lol....:laughing9::laughing9::laughing9:
