Then lead us to the "familiar with these coins " story.
Does it involve a certain fisher of treasure?

No... it involves a certain "Brett". heh

Errr Brent.

Hope these buzzards aren't following me.

Different wreck... Different coin time period... Different location... AND definitely Different "type" of coins on the coin scale.

These 9 are super rare... there are very few known examples of these.

Very limited... and condition is extraordinary.

They are considered "The holy grail" to guys like me.

I would hand you a handful of Central America gold coins in mint condition for ONE of these in BAD condition.

Yes, but thought you would expound with more details.

I have no more details about them... other than when that article was written the value at the time had been under estimated,

When found... I studied the coins intently.

Are you referring to his sack of dirt from a L Frank Hudson bulldozing Gasparilla treasure recovery?

Tis funny because of the several statements made by another "Brent" ironically...

Brent Weisman, an archaeologist with the Florida Division of Historical Resources. 'Only thing is he's a fictional character that never existed. It should be clear to everyone now it's fictional.'

lol.

And this guy is an Arch with the State. :/

Another statement that bears a "pause" is...

"Weisman said that's 1,000 times more than archaeologists have excavated in all of Southwest Florida in the past 10 years."

Folks,

Since most of us detectorists types dream of finding a hoard or cache and for the most part we never will, unfortunately.

That said thought I'd dust off this video by Beau Ouimette aka Aquachigger where he found a hoard of colonial silver coins in a river bed some years ago...enjoy.

Regards + HH

...

The world is so small... :laughing7:

did you saw the other videos where he finds the coins in the river?
I told him years ago to make a chart so he can figure out where they exactly was placed before they got washed to the river. Makes sense to search the land in this area too. May there is more to find.

Love his videos. Specially the underwater hunting videos.
Once he found a camera and the SD card was still working. The camera catched the moment when it falls in the river :laughing7:
