I bought a box of coins. I spotted one from a casual glance that would pay for the whole box.
Does anyone actually look at their coins?
The entire box are all varieties and errors.
Cursed, because I know that there is a tremendous amount to learn.

Something that I am learning aka, just winging it!
Making coin rings.
Put a rock on my lap, get my little rock hammer and start tapping.
After I learn how to make a beautiful hammered surface, I'll move on.

I took my 20x loupe apart so it would lay flatter.. I could really improve it.. Lazy, lol.
Used a zip tip to fasten it over my phone camera lens.
My phone zooms to 4x optical and then I zoom in on the pic in my gallery app.
It works better than any of the pics that I see posted using microscopes.
Bah.. Me caveman engineer lol

Which is more than enough to see the D underneath the top D.

Cheap, but effective.

I'll have to practice your technique.This is about as close I can get (and still be somewhat clear) w/this 10x.Using a 16MP 5x point & shoot cam.

Good luck with the coin ring. When I was in high school one of the guys used to make them with silver quarters.

He had more patience than me, he just took a tablespoon and kept tapping and turning it until he got the proper width and drilled out the center and filed the inside until he got it nice and smooth.

Quite the devious work around using the magnifying glass along with the camera. If you were to buy a special zoom lens it would probably cost big bucks.
