Haven't you ever been "compelled" to do something you didn't want to do?? Like, maybe stop to help someone....only you didn't even know they needed help? And you didn't want to stop in the first place? Cause you had someplace YOU wanted to be?

Good morning everyone.
12 miles!! Ran like the wind this morning and doing a little soul searching.
Revisited a place were I lost some dear friends.
I wrote my name up there in 1982.

Here’s my treasure related pics for the past month. We had a big flood. It wasn’t as bad as last year, but almost.




My hunting honey hole hole is further left which would be NE. I hunt the whole creek though because of the floods. My friend and I found this and it gave us hope for still more bottles. Does anyone know what that chain would have been for? It’s not real heavy. Squared not rounded.

Then about a week later I went to my honey hole. Right where I stopped digging last year, I found this hanging in the roots and dirt. Boy was I shouting the bad words. Really failed at taming the tongue.


UGH! WHAT A HEARTBREAKER! The E. E. Sutherland Medicine Co. Paducah, KY. Dr. Bell’s Pine Tar- Honey. Maybe from the early 1900’s. I have got to rescue these bottles this year! 🤬

Driving down the highway, cruising along at 90 and off in the distance in some random tree is a motionless bird.. I see it instantly.

Like the face staring at me in that chain lol.

W.D. recovered chain...(Quick , before Tom spots it).

Square links hint of "planter/seeder" type equipment.
Manure spreaders , elevators (long thingies to load haybales into upper barn for example) too use/used them.
As well as other implements.

Of course , those guesses go right out the window if the property was not know for farming in the past....
