I want this boat. If I get it will you all come for a ride and chip in for gas ??

LOOOOOONG Video..sorry..But This looks FUN AS HELL!!! Wish I was younger...lol

tamrock,

Looks like a real beauty....a neighbor of mine had a 46 footer that slept 6 talk about a cash cow it cost him $100 per hour in gas when he took it out.

A boat is always a compromise and it is crazy what some people want their boats to do. A friend of my dad had a 50 footer with "space saving" turbo diesels rated for a mere 750 hours service. Not 750 hours to maintenance, 750 hours to rebuild. And who in hell hell needs two water closets on a boat that sleeps six? No wonder the bunks are only big enough to sleep children.

If I had time for a boat I would like a 38'-45' with modestly sized naturally aspirated diesels and a displacement hull. Such a boat might top out at ten knots or so, but you could carry enough fuel to cross the Atlantic cruising along at a comfortable eight knots.

Morn.

Pretty insane. So long ago it's been me and a buddy would spend our 5 day long change from working at the mine in Leadville, 4 wheeling in my IH Scout and tour the back roads and high mountain passes all over Colorado to fish the high lake, camp out and prospect around old ghost towns. We stopped in Crested Butte one time and met some folks who built these wild looking bikes for the mountains. When I asked one guy what this all about, he said Man! we call these things stump jumpers. I found this picture of what those bikes looked like back then. That was probably around 1978. Unbelievable how mountain biking has evolved. You didn't buy a mountain bike back then, you had to build it.

Well I don't think I really could afford that boat, after looking into what it's all got, but sure I'll see if we can make some room for ya, with the one I think I'll get instead of that big one.
