Boy that's when they really freak out in Texas. Especially on the roads. I was in El Paso one time and the roads got coated with black ice. Holly Moley was that a catastrophe. I decided I was done in that town and headed to Las Cruces.

Here recently Mama decided she wanted to tryout these pre-selected meals from Hello Fresh. We've done 3 so far and I must say they're pretty dang good. It takes both of us to whip It up, but I'm enjoying working together with her in the kitchen. She takes command and reads the instructions and I do all the slicing, dicing and chopping of all the ingredients that come in with each meal, as she assembles it and commands the stove & oven. There's no waist like when you go to the store and buy cilantro that come in bundle sizes that are way to much and 80% of it goes in the compost. We've had so far Smoked Gouda Pork w/ caramelized Sriracha onions & potato wedges, Burgers, Roasted Pork Tenderloin w/ lemony potatoes & zucchini and Swedish Meatloaf w/mashed potatoes roasted carrots and current jam. Now that all 3 of our little toads have left the house these pre-assembled meals are a pretty dang good idea and fun for a couple like us, as we both found a good alternative new way to bond and do an activity we both like doing together. These meals do not look like a lot when they come, but we're both filled up when we finish them. They cost around 20+ bucks a meal for two.
