PVC Cashes

So, a metal detector is useless with PVC, unless they keep some gold coins in there?

WUT ? A metal detector wont detect metal inside a PVC pipe ? ....or did I misunderstand that ?
Like the story of the key in the rocking chair, the note said the coins are in a lead lined chest (cannot be detected with metal detector)...I dont know about you but I surely dont have any trouble detecting lead, lol.
