PVC Cashes

I worked him on cash a few times when he was young and it wasn't a problem. Just for fun one day in downtown Denver I gave him some bill's to smell, and he was trying to put his nose and paw's in stranger's pocket's LOL Scared the hell out of a few people.

Now all you need is an official looking uniform. Tell them your dog only alerts on bills used to snort coke & you'll have to confiscate those bills as they are now contraband. ;D ;D

Am I to believe that PVC shields all metal except gold from any detector< how about magnets? sounds like the way to save your firearms from the government takeovers. Bob I need more info please.

If sealed properly they will preserve the condition of paper money and keep moisture off of coins so they won't corrode like they would being exposed to the elements

Actually, you should protect your guns with lead................not PVC.

Lonesome Bob:

The idea is to use plastic pipe buried horizontally and deep
enough that it would be incredibly hard to detect. How deep
will your unit detect a silver or gold coin. Just bury the PVC
a foot deeper. Unless the searcher knows what he's looking
for and brings a PI along the cache should be safe.

I meant to say vertically instead of burrying horizontally.

My guns would be useless to me if I bury them. Hard to target practice or protect myself if I'm standing on the ground a couple of feet above them.

Funny as this may sound about the dog,I have been working my shar-pei(she is 8 years old and getting smarter every day) with paper/coin money....Something may come of it.I know she can dig a hole in no time!!

could pay off, could be a lot of plumbing and sprinkler lines.

I buried a couple of PVC caches this week. Only two other people know about it. They don't know where yet. Didn't even tell them what county there buried in. I have property in four counties.

Seamuss:

While you still remember where you put them you might add
a small amount of uranium to your caches. Then in case of
dementia you could find them with a geiger counter. How
many TH'ers use geiger counters nowadays? Zero!

Thanks for the ideas.

I already glow under blacklight. I wonder what uranium would do for me.

Treasure, treasure, treasure, everywhere is treasure and I'm standing here without a shovel in my hand with a big grin on my face and while I'm sitting at this picnic table knowing what's buried under it. Standing there with no shovel or sitting at the table with my lunch, it's so nice to know which table it's really buried under.

PVC, picnics, valuables and cache.

I was metal detecting this weekend and found a cache buried in PVC piping. If I can find YOUR stash with a detector, then your not burying it deep enough. If there is metal then go deeper then a foot of top soil with some rocks in it to avoid detection. A pull tab or two on the surface will give people a false sense of treasure near by. A two beer burial project will be enough pull tabs.

Your zincolns are safe for now. I was looking for silver and reburied your stash. A couple of pull tabs were dropped on the burial site to discourage others from digging there.

Are they still where I buried them, under the Ballard Bridge?

I hope it wasn't Aurora, I'll go check the Freemont. Thanks
