This is my best copper: 1793 George Washington Ship Halfpenny. I dug it in a sloppy cornfield. :icon_thumleft:

Don't be shy, guys, and post that awesome copper! Tell us what kind of site it was dug at.

Keep the passion high!

Here is my 1832 Large Cent. This picture does no justice, however there is a bit of rough corrosion mixed in with the smooth luster. I could not believe how "lime green" this coin was when I dug it.

Guess I should post one of mine. This one isn't my best looking, but definitely my favorite --1794 Large Planchet, Large Cent. This puppy is THICK.

This was my first 1800s coin I dug it in spring of '09. I have dug 4 other LCs now but none compare to this condition.

That flying eagle sure doesn't look like my 3!

There are no flying eagles in Dirtyville, only on the south side of town where my two were recovered within a week :laughing7:

I'd post the proof but they're too crusty, and it's not worth looking through my HUNDREDS or old coppers to find them.

No need, they're a little new for my tatse.

I'd rather post my CT coppers, maybe my Rosa, or Vermont, or maybe my 95 largie, or perhaps some of my cobs... you know. ;D

Lots in Europe of this condition or better. Secret is to detect neutral ground on hillsides where farming has not taken place so no chemicals. You don't get the quantity but do get the quality.

I have no state coppers, no cobs, no Rosas or Hibernias. My oldest LC is only an 1801 and I only have two half cents 1801,1808 :-\

It's good for a copper but certainly different than the modern crap you were defending on that other thread.
