Pirate Treasure-Trying to get a permit to dig up

Vor gave BDD excellent advise on the Corps of Engineer creek widening project. A sensible person
seeking to examine the debris without exposing himself to critical review of heartless bureaucrats
would find out where the debris would be removed to and if necessary recompense the hauler of such
debris to place it in a low place where the dross could be spread and raked to expose the desired
treasure. Then, thinking ahead instead of galloping off in four directions, BDD would know if his
seer (prophet, dowser, LRL expert) was correct or not.

Before vor suggested this I had already talked to the people that will be doing the actual digging at the creek site. I already know when they will be digging, how they will be digging, what they are digging with, where exactly they are placing the dirt to dry out and a few other details. As this is in a fenced in construction site with no trespassing signs, it is not like someone off the street can just go do as they please.

It is easy for the arm chair treasure hunters to sit back and tell the people that are actually out getting our hands and shovels dirty, what we should be doing. I have a full time job and dozens of other irons in the fire and can only go about treasure hunting when I can squeeze it in. I am not in a position to buy truck loads of dirt nor do I want them. I appreciate all the advice on here but don't take it to personal if I don't follow your instructions and do as you tell me. As I have said before it is different when you are actually on site and involved in the day to day activities versus sitting back and reading Treasurenet posts.

At the moment I have got to go gallop off in another direction. I have already talked today to the Army Corps representative, the 12 foot deep site property owner, and the church property representative. I have also talked to someone about a possible treasure that has nothing to do with prophets, dowsers, LRL's, crystal balls, or any other non-conventional methods. Just a good old story about somebody burying something and talking about it right before they died.

Another pirate treasure under a bridge?
A letter from the Army Corp of Engineers explaing the project:
http://www.thebradentontimes.com/government/acoe_email_reguarding_wares_creek/

That definitely looks like there might be pirate treasure buried under the bridge. Not only that, just think of what people have thrown in there over the years. One of my favorite dive spots was the Melton Hill Lake bridge in Clinton, TN. We found firearms, a box of dynamite, jewelery, coins, etc.

Manuel Diaz Farms were planting palms and trees at Rocky Bluff and Inland Construction and Equiptment,Inc were changing bridges fenders and navigational lighting under the bridge at Rocky Bluff. It never was a secret or mystery treasure probing operation.

The Diaz guys were the ones digging the hole next to the bridge supports to bury trash. Inland Construction is working out in the middle of the river in the channel under the bridge. I never really thought that either of these operations are some secret treasure probing operation. Now the guys operating the sucker truck is a different story. I believe that those guys were trying to find buried treasure. Who put them on it or how they were hired is a mystery to me. Their "official" job was probably to find buried utilities but they were doing more than that. It really doesn't matter any more.

The Wares Creek project is a whole new ball game. The location that I want to do a more extensive search on is very near one of the bridges. It could be pirate treasure and I may need a permit. Hey, that sounds like the title of this thread. One way or another I will figure a way to become legally involved with trying to recover what I believe is buried gold/silver near the creek bank. The wheels are in motion.

Hey Big Dog,

Don't let them get under your skin, we both know you are on to some excellent projects/things. You have already done more than most that try to give you a rough time. Thanks again for the invite I would love to go back down there again but work is keeping me tied up. maybe next year.

BDD, This thread need s a little more humor.

This picture is misleading. The dog is not as big as the picture makes him look. The dog is a bullmastiff. My dogs are much bigger than any bullmastiff. Great ad though.

37,000 cubic yards of muck. Now that is a challenge. If it were me I'd move on to Plan B.

If I had to search through all that muck I would move on to another plan also. I have a specific small area that I want to search. It will also for the most part be dry dirt. I am already on plan D. D stands for dig.

None of what has been said on this thread really bothers me. I have extremely thick skin. It is all fun. They can keep it coming. I like the heat.

Next year? Come on down Curtis. A LOT has happened since you were here. I have some great locations and would like to see what you and your device come up with as far as where you think I should dig. I think I have the triangulation process down to a science. Plan a little Florida vacation and come down for a few days.

I hope I am being fair to Curtis who is a great guy, but we are still waiting a verifiable treasure find with the
"element" LRL he has purchased. I'm sure that privately he shares my concerns. Before one of you crows
about not being able to announce a treasure find because of big bad govt watchdogs let me remind you
that the expense of high dollar devices designed for locating treasure is deductible against the value you
report to the IRS.

BDD would not incur taxes anyway since he says anything he finds will be used to fund the school system.
That is as the commercial says crazy . . . crazy generous. He didn't say the gift would be anonymous
however.

I had a good talk with the property owner at the 12 foot dig site. This site is at his business. He is in construction and it is in our contract that he will do the digging and be responsible for anything that happens. The construction economy in our area is booming. He is having a hard time keeping up and we have come to the conclusion that he just does not have the time to devote to this project. He does believe there may be something valuable buried but of course he does not have the faith that I have. It appears that there are definitely objects at 12 foot deep that have been buried sometime in the past. The property has a history going way back.

I want to be able to try to determine what is buried there before we go to the trouble of trying to dig it up. He has agreed to allow me to move forward on this. He has an associate that uses a four cylinder powered air compressor to jet a galvanized pipe into the ground prior to construction on different projects. I am going to try to work with him on this and may actually borrow/rent the equipment and try it myself. I want to jet the pipe down until it hits whatever the objects are. I will then use various methods to try to determine what the object is.

I have different metal detector setups that could be run down a pipe if the pipe is big enough. I have a small waterproof camera with a built in light and short focal length that is attached to a long wire and plugs into a laptop. I have a gas powered drill that I have made rods for that connect and can easily drill down to 12 or more feet. I have a hand auger that I have extensions for that can auger down to 12 feet. There is more. I need to put together a plan. Has anyone done anything like this and/or have good advice to offer.

I wish you luck, hope all goes well and you find what you seek! Post pics when you can. God bless!

I am putting a plan of action together. I have a current project unrelated to treasure that needs to be finished. I will make a little money off it and plan on taking a 3-4 week treasure vacation. I need to be able to focus as much attention as possible on my 3 hot sites. It is easy to get distracted. In the past it seems like I run out of money or time or both just when things are starting to come together. The plan is to go full steam ahead with no excuses. I may put photos on here of all my treasure tools that I will be using. Whatever happens will be shared on here. Its about time to get real serious.

There are also the stories of the giant penguin in Clearwater and the pink dinosaur seen swimming in the St Johns River!
They have distilled a potent batch in those days!

That would been an interesting figure to uncover. How much treasure the government has uncovered in laying our nations transit systems. QUOTE=jeff of pa;2787952]I'm sure you took into consideration FDOT did some digging building the roads.

It does feel great when people give you all types of reasons it can't be there, and you find it.
My part of a Treasure Find has very little Monetary value, But I can say
I was right & Proved it.

Good luck With FDOT Keep us posted.[/QUOTE]
