Pine Barrens Ruins - Harrisville, Friendship, Atsion ghost towns exploration

Pretty cool, thanks for posting!

I love being out in the woods and discovering places lost to time and of course detecting them.

Yea I Also Like Video's Like this Where they At Least Give Enough Info to Start Researcing .

Not the Holier then though Ones where they show but refuse
to even give a hint, citing they don't trust

Most of them are already Tagged to All hell anyway

Metal detecting is illegal in the Pine Barrens, at least it was when I looked into it. Also, don't go there in late summer, where the bugs will eat you alive. I don't know what it is, a chigger, a no-see-um, whatever it is. you won't know it is biting you and laying eggs in you until the next day, and it is brutal.

For those interested in exploring the Pine Barrens, and it is a cool thing to do, pick up "Forgotten Towns of New Jersey" and "More Forgotten Towns of New Jersey" by Father Beck. Also, the local historical societies will have really cool old maps that you can't find online.

One of my favorite hobbies outside of bug season.

I’ve always been interested in the Pine Barrens since I was a kid.

We went to the shore a lot growing up.

The Sopranos & Boardwalk Empire episodes were good.

The Pine Barrons is NJ state property and it is illegal to metal detect on state property. You are welcome to explore them but as someone else mentioned, stay away from the pines from May through October. Only visit areas that are well traveled. Chiggars / ticks are nasty!

Very cool Video, Thanks for posting it up @jeff of pa
