A collector brought these in to the show. Check out the fluted clovis made into a drill. He told me he rejected a high offer for it, I am not going to put the number in here.

I picked these two relics up at the show. This gorget is ex Bill Cain, who lived in Wilkerson, not too far from my home. I used to talk to Bill at the shows.
Bennie Johnson, Bills friend, help disperse Bills collection after he passed.

Wow. I think I'm gonna be sick. I'm so jealous. We just had a small show here in Mountain Home, AR. Some of these collections are amazing.

Wow! What is the story on the second one you grabbed.
I obtained the two headed lizard from a collector from KY. We spoke for at least an hour total time. I seen a number of folks I knew and had a good time talking to them all. Everyone was friendly and was helpful, taking relics from frames and letting you check them out and talk about them. There were collectors there from as far as Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and I would guess other states as well.

the lizard is an unusual lizard for sure. most lizard effigies have an obvious head and tail, this one has two heads which I think makes it very unusual.

I believe lizard effigies are another style of tie-on atlatl weights, but I am theorizing like others have done.

Yes looking closer definitely appears to be wear from cordage on the “necks.” Awesome piece. Thanks for all the pics.

If that doesn't get the blood pumping I don't know what will !!!!!!!!!!!! :headbang:
