Found my first crotal bell. And correct me if I am wrong a (brass railroad padlock).
Union Brass Mfg Co. Chicago. GHRR.
The earliest plat book made in my area of Michigan is 1864 and it shows a structure where I found these. (Current owner who’s family owned this property for the last 100 years never knew there was a house there.
And I possibly found a piece of broken crotal or conestoga bell.

I just noticed a engraved horse and initials on the bottom. I can only make out (W.E.)
This was next to road and I was expecting trash, glad I dug it.

WTG on the finds. Yep a re switch lock. The initials are the RR it came from.

Here's info on your crotal bell.

Wow! Awesome finds! What a sweet bell!

I have a book on old railroads. I looked up the GHRR. The closest I could find in MI was the GHGRRR. The Grand Haven and Grand Rapids RR. GHRR might be part of that one but I’m not positive.

Although not in Michigan, possibly the Gettysburg & Harrisburg Railroad? Things like padlocks can turn up far from their homes. That would make the find even more cool:

That lock is a cool find for sure and the upper left and lower middle pieces are from an old oil lamp but I'm sure most or all already know that.
Thanks for the share and HH ALL

Very Interesting! I need to investigate.
There was a Grand Haven Railroad in the area.
