Believe me so many people have looked at them glyphs down there from commoners to the professionals and there still grasping at straws they are diffidently pre 1400.

By the way, the picture that he posted above is of a site very much worth visiting (Mine 5). There is evidence of activity there long, long ago - some intriguing petroglyphs and symbols, even a Tanit. I suspect it was an ancient deposit rediscovered and reworked in later times. We traced white man filing records to the 1960s (I believe it was, or thereabouts) and likely earlier. You'll notice some of their old electric lighting wiring and other "modern trash" strewn around the place (at least there was in 2002). The "1990s Group" re-staked this mine, their PCV pipe monument and original location papers was also found at the entrance (you can see it at the entrance left side against the rock in my photo below).
There's an open vertical shaft in the passageway between the rocks where that big open crack is shown in the photo. There used to be an old rickety wooden ladder in 2002 leading down the shaft. This could be very dangerous - think twice about going down into that shaft unless you have proper equipment and know what you're doing. A second person standing by is a good idea. You also must realize that anything of value would have been removed long, long ago. There's some very cool mineral formations nearby. The petroglyphs appear to have been carved at different times - some with the Native American style, some different and not as old. It's definitely worth a trip there. It's a very old site IMO - just how old is not clear.

One of three 3D rams found in the Cookes region (one each at Mines 5 and 7, and Pony Hills). The ram petroglyph is more common. His gaze is the message: go that way. The Age Of Aries (Old Testament times). Ancient or just an ancient symbol?

Thanks everyone for your help. Much appreciated, Its not ever day you get to talk to a Templar. That guy got a lot of knowledge thats for sure. I got a ideal now who hacked in my Pm"s a few years ago. There wasnt even anything important in them. Very interesting.
