Weaver you can be irritating at times, which leads me to only one conclusion.
You're actually me!
But I'm not me either so I don't know where that leaves 'us'?:dontknow:

Earnie, all I have done on here is state the facts as I know them. If it irratates some I can't help that. I'd rather hear the truth than the horsecrap some of you guys sling in here

A few of you guys seem to be really put out by me. And it has you guessing who I am in reality, deducer thinks I'm kollenborn and hal is calling me Dave. Keep guessing gentleman .Maybe I'll see you at the next rendezvous . you will be surprised

Why should we have to guess?
Lots of men make self-discoveries late in life and your man-crush is nothing to be ashamed of if, it exists.

PS.

Those of us who want Ryan to succeed don't think that you are doing him any favors here. Unless you are posting on his behalf? Meaning, he is communicating thru you or you are him?

If he is not and you are not him, I wonder if you are doing him more harm than good with your anonymity.
It all reflects back to Ryan until you step forward.

Not the fairest scenario.

But yes, I think that your name is Dave.

I'm old school and not sure what this man crush you talk about is but you seem to be an expert on it, maybe you and deducer could share some of your experiences with us

I think we're all interested in the truth Weaver, at least as far as the Lost Dutchman and Peralta mines go. We slowly chip away at it. Kind of like Michelangelo and that block of stone that eventually revealed the 'David' within. No doubt there is some "horsecrap" that needs to be cleaned away to get to that truth.
What in particular do you find objectionable?

Would that I could Dave but Bill is my first and only because he keeps me laughing thru the pain.

Have you ever thought about letting Ryan's work evolve into something positive?

Hal,

It's difficult to see "something positive" being a result of the lies and deceptions that originated the Stone Map Legend. Now, it seems that Bonnie and Clyde are being thrown into the mix, once again, without any provenance, other than what seems a made up story. While it's possible, fool me once (Travis)......

A made for TV "documentary" will be heavily scripted and edited for manufactured "evidence", such as crosses, handprints and spirit wheels.

Hopefully, I will end up eating my words.

Good luck,

Joe

So, weaverneedle is actually Dave?
And Dave has a "huge" man-crush on Ryan?

...and Bill doesn't.

Any of that in your film?

cactusjumper,
Straight up, you personally endorsed Dave few weeks back.
You have also written about honesty and the importance of true identity in a public forum.
Is weaverneedle your friend Dave?

Hey Hal,

Sorry, no idea. It was fun playing games with him, but as soon as it became obvious he was all bluff, and not at the center of any action or in the "know" on anything, I decided to move on.

Also, sorry to disappoint you and everyone else, but I just don't have some sort of "secret film project," no TV show or documentary, and I am not in "competition" with Ryan or with anyone else due to the very SIMPLE fact that I am not a TV show producer, nor am I from Hollywood, although I did enjoy getting a good laugh out of it while it lasted.

Should anyone try to bring it up again, I will simply ignore it because it has gotten tiresome at this point.

I do understand some people on here are enamored with Hollywood but I am not. I'd rather be hiking in the mountains.

Was I critical of Ryan? I was critical of his decision to trash some very good discussions, I objected to how he treated a few members on this forum and elsewhere, but as far as Ryan the person and his project, I have not, and wouldn't have, since I've never met him, and have no idea what his project will be like. I just hope his project will be historically accurate so that we can all learn from it and hopefully fill in some of the missing pieces in the puzzle.

" It was fun playing games with him"

And that is what causes problems.

That's a pretty bleak outlook.

If that's your story then stick to it. I've been warned by the moderator to drop it so I have .If you show up at the rendezvous this year we can discuss it further

CJ, none of us know what the TV show will be like until we watch it. The civilized members here are content with waiting until it airs before passing judgement. A few nuts on here think I'm sticking up for Ryan, which is not totally true. I would just like to know the facts about the stone map mess and Ryan is the only chance we have of getting them.As it has been discussed on here before anyone (and that includes hal, Arthur and Wayne) could have gone to Texas and accomplished what Ryan has but they didn't. So now they have to depend on Ryan to deliver the goods and for some reason they can't stand it

Weaver, not trying to argue and actually agree in some ways, however here are some of those facts that we all like;

On that other treasure site there is a string from June 2011 (five years ago) concerning the Travis Tumlinson Stone Maps that discusses the Travis' carved chimney stones in Texas, including pictures. It appears that at least one person or group was there at least five years before RG.

There may have been some there even sooner that members here may know about and might be willing to discuss, if we ask them nicely. :tongue3:

WN,

100% there! Before Bill started the "Why did Travis Create the Stone Maps as a Hoax" Thread, I stated that everything will come out in the wash. Nobody needs to be hounding Ryan about what he is doing. The filming process is long and consuming. Jesus. JUST WAIT! Severa;l people have said the same thing. Quit trying to guess. Quit trying to hound Ryan and Frank. Just quit. When the show comes out, THEN ask questions and make guesses. Quit just pulling stupid guesses out of your culo.

Of course you would be 100% Mike. You're an "Insider" of Ryan's secret stone mappers society of misfit carvers and you've earned it. Remember, he said it on that other forum about Travis carved forgeries not I. The thread that I started was what everyone was thinking in their own minds at the time after Ryan spilled the beans about the forgeries. I only echoed that sentiment.

Us low landers haven't been privy to the up landers stories (fables) from the family. The truth about Travis's fake exploits will never be known in it's entirety. Not with production companies, writers, Travis, Ryan, the Family, and all you Dutch Hunters at the helm. From what we've heard from Ryan himself it seems to be the same old tired phony baloney we hear with all Travis induced Dutch Hunter told stone map stories.
Ryan and the Tumlinson's hide it and you guys find it.

The Baloney that is...

Ajones you have a grasp of the royal trails like none other. Keep it going you'll get there. Multiple stacked light sky heart + door + pointer or bird this way on the royal trail to a gold mine or Treasure!

Good call Bill, spot on. Its both. one found, and the other waiting to be opened.

What do you think about that carved horse on the stone map Bill, does it look the way Spanish do there horses to you?

It looks cartoonish but so does all early renditions of art from that era. I think it has some importance though in the whole scheme of things. I've seen the horse near gold mines and camp sites. Abstracted of course. I dare say even though we now know they were forged he must have used some old Spanish saying or proverb for his inspiration. Possibly he saw it on some old document or map. Like I have always said from the beginning there was something missing from the set. I still believe the Priest / Witch map has the most pertinent information even though it's jumbled up and makes no sense. It had no bearing in what I found in the end it was a useless piece of Texas folk art.

So many think shadows and sun or light sky signs are total bull. That's a good thing though because while they're talking crap about us shadow readers we're pulling treasures out of the ground left and right!
