You look to have the right idea, build up the wing dam and direct the amount of water you need.

Awesome feeling to get the good stuff on the 1st trip out with new gear.

Thank you, I appreciate the advice. I definitely need to work on building up the wing dam - for sure. I wasn't entirely sure how much flow was the right amount. I didn't want it too fast or too slow. I ran half a bucket through, panned it out and saw color so I left it how it was. I definitely need to play around with it more. Thanks again!
