Need advice on truly non metallic shoes for detecting

Go barefoot. It worked for thousands of years before shoes.
And before shoes with METAL! Just wondering how he was able to detect these MANY YEARS, he professes, yet still perplexed by which shoes to wear. Several experienced detectorists (RGINN, Releventchair, pepperj, Gare) gave him suggestions that he dismisses. I'm not a newbee either. Me thinks he just wanted to stir the pot to show how much he thinks he knows. ╦╦C

Great advice from everyone but doesn't serve my needs... you see I'm not the ordinary detectorist I been doing this for many years and got it down to a science. When I detect a site, I'm moving a lot of dirt and swinging hard and fast. I don't have time to fumble with pin pointers or pretty shoes (I would have those Skechers flapping in a week) or making sure I keep my feet away from the coil because I'm moving too fast for that. You see I have to be quick because I dig everything just to be sure, I started digging everything years ago when I got a trash signal and just for kicks, I dug it anyway (bored I guess) and it turned out to be a gold ring just real deep. Anyway, got no need for boots (too hot). I'm looking for let's just say hiking shoes that are tough yet airy and METAL FREE. If anyone knows of any such animal please reply and I mean no disrespect to anyone on here. I appreciate all the insight, and it is helpful.
You're utterly full of it.

Evidently he didn't like the answers given here as he asked the same question over on Friendly.
I've accidently worn steel toes while detecting, you just swing the coil farther away from your shoes.
