Need advice on truly non metallic shoes for detecting

Go barefoot. It worked for thousands of years before shoes.
And before shoes with METAL! Just wondering how he was able to detect these MANY YEARS, he professes, yet still perplexed by which shoes to wear. Several experienced detectorists (RGINN, Releventchair, pepperj, Gare) gave him suggestions that he dismisses. I'm not a newbee either. Me thinks he just wanted to stir the pot to show how much he thinks he knows. ╦╦C

Great advice from everyone but doesn't serve my needs... you see I'm not the ordinary detectorist I been doing this for many years and got it down to a science. When I detect a site, I'm moving a lot of dirt and swinging hard and fast. I don't have time to fumble with pin pointers or pretty shoes (I would have those Skechers flapping in a week) or making sure I keep my feet away from the coil because I'm moving too fast for that. You see I have to be quick because I dig everything just to be sure, I started digging everything years ago when I got a trash signal and just for kicks, I dug it anyway (bored I guess) and it turned out to be a gold ring just real deep. Anyway, got no need for boots (too hot). I'm looking for let's just say hiking shoes that are tough yet airy and METAL FREE. If anyone knows of any such animal please reply and I mean no disrespect to anyone on here. I appreciate all the insight, and it is helpful.
You're utterly full of it.

Evidently he didn't like the answers given here as he asked the same question over on Friendly.
I've accidently worn steel toes while detecting, you just swing the coil farther away from your shoes.

Simple solution Pa

You know Terry C we didn't try to make fun of him, and honestly tried to come up with somethin. I really haven't had that problem. Oh I've accidently got close to my boot and hit a metal signal, but knew what it was and not really a disruption. I kept it to myself, but thought maybe this guy is a professional clown and wears those big shoes, which might be hard to avoid.

Hey, RGINN! It just seems he never planned on taking our advice. Ok, my remarks bordered on sarcasm but we tried to answer his question but he took affront. Maybe he's a shoe salesman! Take care, buddy. ╦╦C

I'm looking for truly, completely, totally non-metallic shoes for metal detecting. I see all over the web non-metallic shoes and boots, but I can't help but think that the shanks are metal in these supposed non-metallic shoes/boots because they keep referring to the front of the shoes as Composit. I mean am I wrong is the entire product metal free or is there still a metal shank in it? Does anybody actually know? Please help. Also, does anyone on here know where I can get a completely metal free shoes for ground metal detecting like park, woods, yards, etc. nothing for water/beach hunting because I got that covered already. Thanks in advance!
I would have no problem walking into a store with a pinpointer in pouch to check shoes, wouldn't use one shaped like pistol, but a wond would not be an issues.

You are overthinking the problem, just avoid steel toe shoes, unless you are scanning your shoes your coil want see a staple...I have worn many different kinds of tennis shoes and hiking shoes detecting land, never had issue....

Georgia Boot Romeos. Just stay away from the wedges and the safety toes, but they are sturdy and comfortable!
