Welcome Aboard from another resident of the great state of PA! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Pennsylvania for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to PA.

haylee welcome to Tnet
Go to the oldest persons that you know in your town, barber shop or old folks home and ask them where the action was back in their days, ball parks, old lovers lane and such...go there and get permission and hunt your brains out .
First learn how to dig a hole and fill it in propley in your own yard.
Take all trash you dig with you .
Laybary will help with old maps,if your looking for silver go to a place people hung out Before 1964

Old school or old park is a good start.

Permission to hunt old houses in your area is the key. We travel hundreds of miles to hunt in your state! Certainly you know someone that lives in a house built in the 1800s... ask them to let you hunt their yard.

Good luck!

welcome haylee,

check out your library's local history section, they will have all the old schools, parks, race tracks, weekly auction areas etc.

just looking at the old photos, will give you ideas of where large crowds gathered and dropped great old coins.

Good Luck, Post some pics of your finds.

# 1. Take the great advice above. There is nothing that I can add. Good hunting and good luck.

Welcome from Massachusetts!
