My True Treasure Tale - Long, but the Whole Story.....

I've never spent any time on this part of TNet, until today. This is the most incredible story I've ever read about metal detecting; my heart was almost racing as I read it. I can't imagine how exciting the whole experience was; I would be stoked by just finding one gold coin! Congratulations on a terrific story and find. By the sounds of it, you're in Florida now and morels are probably out of the question! I hope to begin hunting up here in a month or so. A TNet buddy and I are hunting around an old foundation now; maybe we'll get lucky!

Hi Night Stalker, WOW !!!!!

I just found this thread, what a great story ,and your real good at telling it too.
This is what we all do dream about, even if it would just be a quart jar full
of gold or silver.
What an Adventure ! Kind of reminds me of the movie "Romancing the Stone".
Yes your wife WILL go mushroom hunting with you next time !
You don't need to find anymore Treasure, so you can now just Romance !
Spending time doing what you two want to do. Enjoying your time together !

What a blessing to you both . God has blessed you both !

Wish I could get out of these winters, in North Cal,that would be a treasure
for me, maybe this fall ! I sure would like to be in good weather most of the year too. Thats blessing enough for me.

great story and finds, not sure if you have done this yet but, I was with intel in the military, and the only way to remove any evidence left on your hard drive was to take it out, take a sledge hammer and smash it to bits, then destroy all the disks. good luck to ya

Also just found this story today. Ditto all above. Sure made more sence than the "Dem Boards" Hope all is well with you and yours. Dirt Dobber

When I posted my find of Dutch Schultz' empty treasure cache site, I fell victim to a couple of neer-find-nuttins, who made it ther mission in life to debunk my find. They repeatedly suggested that I had not done enough research to conclude that I had found the original cache site. They got downright nasty, and the moderator deleted some of their posts. There are some expert researchers on this site. But, it's easy to tell the real from the fake. In my case, the word "research" kept popping up in their replies as if to made themselves sound experienced and/or intelligent, though they had no finds posted themselves. As a result, I concluded that it's appropriate to use your own strengths in a search no matter what anyone else says. I'm not a good researcher. But, I'm persistent and will just go out and look, trusting to luck. Luck vs. Research. Here's one lucky guy, who found his treasure without any research. My hat is off to him. One doer is worth a thousand talkers.

Definately my favorite story of T-Net!

Always wondered if you ever went back there to do some more Metal Detecting, if so, did you find anymore?

I read your story a while ago. I tell all my friends about it. It can happen and does. A firend of mine son went to a garage sale and bought a heavy box with a lock on it. $5.00.when he got home he broke the lock off. I say the contents. Gold and silver coins. I have no idea of the value. At least a couple of thousand. God bless you Stacker. Mike.

I've been on Tnet for 3 years and this is the first time I ever read this post! I guess I've had my head in the sand? God Lord I was going through all your emotions with you as I read it. I need a drink! A cold coke because I am a teetotaler by fate, it reacts with my medication. Wonderful, wonderful story. Excellent to the third power. Monty

Oh my GOD!!! The whole time I was reading this story, my heart was pumping as if I were there with you
when you made the discovery. I could only dream of making such a discovery. :wav:

Wow, what a find! I know of a spot like that. Hmmm. I hope my little Ace 250 does me right in 09' :dontknow:
