My New To Me Ride.

Sounds like a plan. I just bought my retirement truck a couple weeks ago. It hurt laying down the cash as I've been driving a company truck for 20 years. I had saved for one but still, ouch. It is 2 years old with less than 22k miles. I ordered a fiberglass capper and upgraded running boards. They're proud of cappers too. $$$!
Cappers make traveling much more civilized being able to store items and locking them up.
I drove job furnished pickups for 23 yrs for 2 different companies, took truck home every night. This is first one I bought, it was impossible to pass up.

My original offer was $5500, she countered with $4300, because it was tied up in estate escrow due to owners death it took a little over a year to be able to actually take possession. In that year I had an ambulance to her father's home when he had heart attack, and several other trips to hospital for non life-threatening issues.

She said she would give it to me if she owned it but it was the estate property. She told me make offer, I asked how $2000 and I pay for repair work sounded and she said sold. I already new the estimate of repairs was $750.00

She had shown the estate awyer the dealer estimate of $ 3000 before I had the mechanic look at and he told her to just sell it, he would would except what ever it sold for.

I refuse to pay what they want for new vehicles, I haven't bought new vehicle since probably 1994, since then I bought used, usually in range of 10,000 miles. My Miata I bought had 13,500 miles on it and I paid $12,500.

Been looking for set of Weathertech floor mats for truck. I found ad on FB Market Place for free rear mat for Tacoma Acess cab Gen 2.

I drove there last night thinking it was used only to find out it was brand new, turned out he had ordered set for fI r same year dual cab, they shipped this one by mistake and shipped him the correct one, they told him to keep the one shipped in error, guess they didn't want to pay for return shipping.

Now searching for front WT mats

Well bought new trucks for 40 to 50 grand and just pay on the spot or pay them off in about two years. HOWEVER, not too long ago, bought a brand new Chevy, paid cash, and it turned out to be a lemon. Dealership gave me an offer of a Silverado, but with 20,000 miles on it. I decided, hey, anything wrong with that, should be worked out by now. It has been fine, and I come out ahead moneywise. So from now on, I may shy away from anything that only has like 2 miles on the odometer. (And the dealership did take care of me, but it was an inconvenience and an ordeal for me.)

Back in 2009 I bought a 2005 Tundra that was loaded with all the goodies, and it only had 7,500 miles on it. Fellow who had owned it lived out on one of the San Juan islands, and there weren't very many places to drive to. Had the 4.7 V8 and all the trimmings, including full leather interior. Loved that truck, but had to sell it after a few years to make ends meet.

I eventually replaced it with with an absolutely cherry '87 Toyota 4x4 pickup, and added another 175k on top of the 200k+ it had when I bought it. It needed a new engine, and it still sold for the same $5k I paid for it.

I bought this ‘02 new. I got lucky with one made on a Wed by day shift. It’s never had a single issue. It only has 115,000 and not a speck of rust. I’d like to have a new one but they don’t make single cab short bed Silverados anymore. I’ll just keep driving it.

I forgot to mention my father in law bought this truck brand new. We later inherited it. It was his baby and maintained regularly. He wanted a sun roof but that model did not offer it. Mr Wheeler from Wheeler Toyota worked with Toyota so that option was available for those trucks!
