Found this on vacation in St. Martin last October. Maybee I should say she found me.

Daisy (That is the name a little girl gave the dog) was abandoned on a beach and was abused by a bunch of kids. She had cuts and scars all over her body from being stoned. For some reason she followed me everywhere. The day before I was to come home, I found out that a lady that runs an adoption program for dogs had paid to have her put to sleep. I contacted the lady and told her I would take her home and to call off the needle. She told me that she was having the dog put to sleep because it was more humane than having the kids stone her to death or drown her. She also told me that the dog was not very social and was afraid of most people.

After getting the dog all it's shots and quarantine period, arranging airfare and all the other details, Daisy is now living in central Pennsylvania. She is no longer scared of other people and doing just fine.

I did not really want another dog (already have a long hair Jack Russel) but I am happy that I brought her home.

Bob

those wicked little monster children ---shame on them ---to STONE and harm the dog for "kicks" since the dog was not trying to harm them.---- a pox upon them for their cruelness---may god teach them in his way--may nature rise up against them ---like the ocean in which they swim and the "beast" that live within it.---however a blessing on your head for the kindness you shown---may you be blessed a 1000 nd fold. ---Ivan

that is just awesome !!!!! there's still good peeps out there,,,, and you can tell by the smile on the dog.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Awwww....she was meant to find you.

Daisy's nice but I'd call her Treasure. And you're a treasure for doing what you did.

Thank You for that.

what a grand thing you did and she is now a beauty. She'll probably turn out to be the best dog you ever had. I am sure glad there are a few people like you out there in the world. I am known to drag strays home and relocate them to good families. But the red tape and plane ticket goes way beyond! May many good things come your way

They say, all dogs go to heaven.... Can you hear them cheering? You're a great person. I wish you blessings all your days.

Kids or no kids-anybody that would beat a helpless dog or any animal for no reason and throw rocks at it has mental problems and should be locked up somewhere.I'm glad to see that dog has a nice home now with someone who cares for it.As for the kids who were "stoning" the dog, they are tommorrows felons and will more than likely end up in prison someday for something, hopefully anyway.Kudos to you Bob! Nice story too! :)

What kind of people would stone a dog/ drown a do to death???!!!

Actually, that is public animal abuse and I believe it is illegal. Those people should pay a $2000 fine EACH and spend 3 months in an adult prison.

THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE DOG!!!

The dog must love you alot. Good Karma!

If you have a PayPal account, I'll send a few bucks your way to help offset the cost of shipping and vet care. That way, I can feel like I helped and feel good too.

LOL, Ummm...They are kids ?? They will learn in time.

Keep @ it and HH!!

at times I wonder if they will outgrow their cruel & wicked ways and stop or just move on to bigger "prey"---these "children" aren't playing ----their killing and they "like" it----wonder if the VA Tech killer "played" with helpless animals like this one as a kid? often its the "first warning sign" of a seriel killer--- sorry but I have to to say it---not all "little" kids are good--- some are bad, some are very bad and a few turn out like ted bundy---thats were "bad" adult people come from (bad kids)----some children are twisted they delight in wickness and evil sadly.----for these kids no amount of talking or classes will help --- they "like"and "enjoy" being bad---(demon spawn is what I call em)----if they grow up to be just like him (the VA Tech Killer) then I pray to god that he take em now, that they don't get to grow up.---- that the sea swallows them up.
