Simply amazing find! Maryland is a great state and I'm glad you recovered this cache no matter where it was found. This is the type of find that motivates others to stick with it. this is maybe the most amazing find i have ever seen! the question begs to be asked how did that much money come to be in the river? i mean...that was a HELL of a lot of money in the early 1800s!

Let me add my congrats as well. I love the way some of the silver turns that purty blue color when in the rivers and creeks for a long time. I would guess it was stolen and thrown in or it washed out of the bank. If it was a cache and washed out there may be more up stream. Once again congrats and this is the best find I have seen posted on the web...d2
