Hi all. Hope your day was as good as mine. Last week while trying to get permission at a couple nice old farm houses, I met the daughter of one of the owners. She volunteered her house to me and when I asked her how old it was, she told me it was built in 1832. I was able to go this morning for the first time. Beautiful old house that is very well maintained and she and her husband share it with their 2 very young sons. Great people! Anyway, My first target of the day was an Indian. The last target ( yep, on the way back to the car! ) was an Indian. The good stuff was in between lol. I got a few firsts out of the way ~ a Barber dime, Barber quarter and a beautiful ornate little buckle that I believe is a knee buckle. Hope you more knowledgeable members will enlighten me. Looks like the oldest IH of the 4 I got is an 1864 ( my oldest IH! ). Hope you enjoy the pics. BTW, I only did the front yard and one side yard in 3 1/2 hours so hopefully I can return and find some more!

Thanks all. I can't believe no one has noticed I found what looks like someone's pot/hash pipe lol! It broke right in half in my hands, but it sure looks like one:tongue3:

That's the way I am George:tongue3: I skipped right over the 1800's last fall and found the 1720's-1730's King George! Before that my oldest coin was a 1902 V nick, lol. I did go back and fill in the puzzle with several 1800's, so hopefully I can fill in the silver one with a big old 1800's American one, lol. Thanks!

Those are some sweet finds. Congrats on the two Barber coins.

You have two pipes there.:laughing7: Metal parts to another one in your pile above and right of the ceramic one, a threaded nipple normally joins them... Not that I would know but from pictures and such.

Thanks DMan! I was just wondering where our old friend ModernMiner had been hiding when I saw you had posted. Now that's a coincidence!

I am really not sure what that other one is. I first thought it was an ox knob, but it has what looks to be a crimped end.

Very nice finds . It's always nice working without banging into trees and briars.

Congrats on the great finds! Hope you find much more when you do the rest of the yard. Best of luck!
