Metal Prices

Copper Here dropped to $2.13 lb just when I was planing on taking it in to sell.

I have 50lbs of it so far but will hold onto it until prices rise.

Aluminum cans are down to 36 Cents per pound and tin is down to $157 ton.

Cleaned aluminum is down to 32 cents per pound and my truck is loaded down with it as I had planned to take that in as well since they were giving 45 Cents per pound but think I'll just unload it and hold onto it too until it hopefully rises again.

I sure wish the scrap metal prices would go up again.

I pull cast and extruded aluminum from the work dumpster. Not so much company's property, but employees. Fixtures, doors, grills, etc, otherwise, it gets incinerated

Make sure you seperate and clean the non-related hardware, I've pulled 150 pounds this summer.

I ran across a fellow scrapper. He said he'd read that there was going to be a coming "Shortage of Zinc".

Has anyone heard of this forecast? What would cause the shortage?

Thanks,
Bill

Torch prepared steel they call oversized steel
Prepared steed they say is 3' x 18" clean of plastic and other non ferrous items
Cut off plug ends as this new yard wants #2 ins wire with no ends on it for better pricing
