So I have found HUGE chunks of melted solid gold Liberty coins dated late 1700s. I am cleaning some pieces. One.of them weighs at least a few pounds. Now what? Who buys stuff like that?! This is my best find so far. Was under a tree that fell over next to a creek! There are a lot of pieces. I will be posting pics later tonight when I get home. Does anyone know where I can sell these?

yes just find a gold buyer in your area.

remember though anything over a certain amount will need to be reported.

if for some reason, you don't want it reported
check with them first how much you can sell at a time,
without them notifying you know who

Any update on pictures? Pounds upon pounds of half melted Gold coins from the late 1700's could well be one of the best finds ever on Tnet!

I'd suggest you take them to your bank and see what they say. Don't go to my bank, they just asked me why I signed over the signature on a check from a friend and I said it looked like his pen died so he had to re-write with red ink over the blue. She said normally they won't accept these!
