So I have found HUGE chunks of melted solid gold Liberty coins dated late 1700s. I am cleaning some pieces. One.of them weighs at least a few pounds. Now what? Who buys stuff like that?! This is my best find so far. Was under a tree that fell over next to a creek! There are a lot of pieces. I will be posting pics later tonight when I get home. Does anyone know where I can sell these?

First step would be to have it tested to see if it is what you think it is. Gold the size of the larger one you pictured would be around fifty pounds, that is a lot of gold!

Wow lucky you! :2barsgold:

I think my detector is broken...

Every time my machine says I have gold,
It SOMEHOW turns into aluminum when it hits the air..:laughing7:

I believe the rule of thumb for 24K is, the deeper you can sink your teeth, the more valuable it is.

interesting....

Welcome NOXO. It's interesting, but are you sure it's gold?

Easiest thing is 1) buy a gold test kit off the internet, less than $25 and test it or 2) take it to a jeweler, they will let you know

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!

I think there should be an effort to get this up on the banner page.

That would be alot of gold.,Thats one giant nuggett

If you are going to try to sell them, this wouldn't matter anyway, but hit one with a big hammer. If it splits or a piece breaks off, it isn't gold.

Nice Au rock..
I studied your pics under intense digital magnification.
I've determined that there is indeed a dolphin!
Magnified @1900x
