So I have found HUGE chunks of melted solid gold Liberty coins dated late 1700s. I am cleaning some pieces. One.of them weighs at least a few pounds. Now what? Who buys stuff like that?! This is my best find so far. Was under a tree that fell over next to a creek! There are a lot of pieces. I will be posting pics later tonight when I get home. Does anyone know where I can sell these?

Hi , A large quantity of gold pieces when only particularly melted would still take shape of the vessel in which it had been melted in . Fact Anyway anyone who found this much gold would have clearly weighed . Fact Neither pyrite burners , Quartz roasters , Blast furnace produces gold in this form .Fact TP

They look like quartzite river cobbles with possible pyrite and chalcopyrite inclusions. Send to an assayer to determine gold content.

So I cleaned my pieces a little more. Got some pix. Now it seems that on the bigger piece there appears to be the date 1846 or something. I've attached pix. I'm only working on 2 of the pieces but I've got a lot! Let me know what my next step is because I'd love to make some $$ with my best find ever!!! If you have any suggestions please feel free to contact me ok??? Let me know what you all think of my find please...

Well since you asked what I think of yours finds. BALONEY is what I think
