Okay, we are now getting to a point where I need to interject some common sense into this conversation.

Roger, don't take this as anything personal against you. Anybody that is thinking about following up on Roger's information needs to do some serious research.

1. Do you even know who Roger is? What are his bonafides?

2. Roger has made some big claims, but has yet to show a single unambiguous photograph or proof of ANYTHING of value. Some of Roger's Family claims don't hold up to scrutiny, so I tend to let that overlap into how I feel about his treasure claims. Also, this site is in the New Water Moluntains WILDERNESS AREA". Good luck on trying to legally keep anything.

I have been in this area several times in the past. I drove (then climbed) up to the "hole in the rock". While I won't say its impossible for there to be a source of gold there, if you aren't used to desert mountain areas, I don't advise going to the area. If anybody is seriously thinking about going there, I advise doing some things first:

1. Contact Roger on the side. Get to know him and see if he seems legit.

2. Give yourself a little test. Go to the Superstition Mountains, to The Peralta Trailhead. Using a TOPO Map and Compass, hike from there to First Water Trailhead. Its about 8 miles as the crow flies on well defined trails. If you can do this without issues, its about the same distance to hike into Roger's Site and back (with no maintained trails).

3. Don't go by yourself.

And for the people who want to know a little about me. Im a ret. USAF COM/NAV specialist. I took college in underwater archaelogy. Spent years camping, hiking, back packing, and navigating as a scout until i got my Eagle.

If you take the monuments that i say i found, and line them up with dutchman maps, you can match several maps right away. Also four pks line up south of the mine, with the mine and needle pk to the north on elevation mapping. Which is also one of the dutchman clues.

Are you under the impression that it is NOT insulting to be falsely accused?

There are also refrences that the monuments were only viewd with field glasses from certain points of elevation from certain spots. If you would like, i can look up certain keywords and pull that information up and post it.

I think we can all unanimously agree: the only thing further we need posted is unambiguous pictures of the actual inside of the mine and the actual gold veins contained there in. It won't be proof positive its the Dutchman mine, but it'll at least establish you've found an incredibly rich gold mine, which is the MINIMUM prerequisite to claiming its the lost Dutchman mine. We are all set on the google earth and topo maps as they've been posted several times. There isn't much more to ad to this thread until you can get out there later this year or early next year and get the pictures you said you'd get at that time.

This isn't a criticism, i'm just trying to understand your modus operandi so I can better wrap my head around this experience and better empathize with what you are trying to achieve. Why do you keep posting the same or similar images on most every single page of this thread?
